@jpe19940, as you probably know, a great version of this song was done by The Traveling Wilburys in 1988, with Roy singing as "Lefty Wilbury". Just threw the CD in the computer while I was typing this to give it a listen. It's been a while since I had that album out. I listened, and now I'm listening to your version. Again, kudos to you & the band, Marty. GREAT job!

I'm sorry that you have decided to stop doing this song live. I think you're very close on the phrasing to Roy's version. I understand that being in a band you want to play dancable tunes, but I think  there are times to showcase this song and you just have to pick and choose when it's appropriate to do it. Maybe before the dinner crowd starts dancing or if your in a club setting you can find the right spot. I hope that you will reconsider in the future. All the best!

You are very right Betlenut- our show was very much in two halves and our tribute to Roy should be just that, a tribute to his music. The 2nd half was Elvis and this got them dancing.. Sadly I am finishing with the show in a couple of months...maybe then i can do some of Roy's less popular songs...glad you liked it
