One thing I never had the patience to do was sit down and practice scales. I'd say it helped me play with more feel though. Although I'll never be as good as this kid I'll admit that....I just don't see any "feel" in what he's playing. He certainly has plenty of time to learn how to play with more feeling and once he does....he'll be a monster!! If he doesn't, he'll just be another dime a dozen shredder with no emotion in his playing. He's damn talented though!!
