  • ..powerful movie

  • rabbit proof fence music. amazing.

  • It makes me cry

  • @TheProfessorEnglish ProffesorEngilsh - the "later catholic additions" are what is the essence of passion. Anything that is catholic is not an addition since the catholic is the first and true source of christianity. It remains so from the time of Jesus, through the apostles and up to today. Please don't start argue about "bad bad catholic stuff" in this vid. I won't have it. If blood and guts are problem for you listen to wise words Caviezel said: "what people see is their own sin". Blessings.

  • @Caralthiel I think you might be the one who needs to take a careful look at your theology dude. Catholic is NOT the source of Christianity today - the Holy Spirit is. Catholic is not the first - Christ is! God's Word remains as the essence of who we are...not some organisation. As Jesus Himself said, "Heaven & Earth (and every denomination & organisation) will pass away, but My Word will never pass away". Some tradition is good, but it is certainly not the source! I love the movie.

  • @onthespotwiththeammo One important thing you wrote yourself. "not the source of Christianity today". Today huh ;]. For people who are your fellow believers that may be so. Yet the fact is and will stay unchanged that Catholic was founded and is guided by Holy Spirit. Aye - He is the first - equally to Father & Son. But Son sent Holy Spirit and He initiated the existence of Roman Catholic. Thus Catholic is first and will be - by the decree of Holy Spirit Himself.

  • @onthespotwiththeammo 2) Sola scriptura, fighting anticatholic evangelicism and personal interpretation of Bible is somewhat interesting but overall it is just catholicism ripped off of things that Martin Luter and his successors found too tough to bend their hard knecks at. Well - their choice and God Himself granted them the right to do it.

  • @onthespotwiththeammo 3) (and final ;)) Lots of it is reason that evangelicism has thousands of denominations and Roman Catholic Church is just as it is in it's creed: One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic. All "free" additions, interpretations and ideas from non-catholic and non-traditionalist bag, are irrelevant to me. Either way truth will be revealed at Final Day - till then (that IS NOT a smart-mouth threat ;] - just a statement). Blessings brother.

  • I have been here so many times and this is the best trailer for TPOTC because of the music and how christ calls his father, in the movie it is diffrent!, they should not have changed it the angle was so perefect wit the camera... I always watch this when it is passover we call pasen, I do not know the english word sorry please never remove the vid , Godd bless

  • @hillena I agree - this is the original and best...shame the sound is average and the video not HD.

  • What can I say. Jesus Himself didn't succeed in convincing your ancestors due to their hardened hearts and deaf ears (He said Himself). Thus - I will not even attempt to convince you. All I will say is this: Christianity is definitely not easy religion. Example can be the fact of how many people abandon it now, because they find it to demanding of them to follow the Code that Jesus left. In the end - go on, believe that He was stolen from the tomb. It's old and known "true" story among Jews.

  • Being a Christian is not easy, but it's SO worth it. We are shunned every day for loving a Man who gave His life for us because no one else seems to understand. If you are reading this, and you are one of those people, I am praying for you. Let Jesus into your heart. Become whole again. Believe me, you will NEVER regret it....

  • @Caralthiel

well said! He is the Lord, Jesus Christ !!

  • It's okay, I'm the one feeling sorry for you. Let us have a debate.

If you believe in religion, as in a personal way of thinking to isolate yourself from all the bad things in life, I respect you.

If you actually believe in 'God', if you believe in the chronicles from 2009 years from now, well .. then God bless you :)

  • Yup, He does bless me in so many ways that I barely comprehend few parts of them ;], thus I thank even more for your blessings to me. Your tone is generally mocking I presume ;), but it isn't anything new you know ;) - St. Paul wrote CA 2000 years ago that Christ is "abomination for Jews" and "folly for pagans". Your country is mentally and morally mostly pagan so it's not surprising that you insult my religion and mock me ;). And that is exactly why I seriously am sorry for you. Blessings !

  • And just to stay true to the facts ;) - Bible (meant at whole [Old Testament] and [New Testament]) in it's first parts is lot older than barely 2009 years. C Ya !

  • I feel really sorry for you... Will be praying in your intention. God Bless...

  • those who believe will enter thy kingdom, those who distrust will enter a purgatory of hell. Matthew 3:19

  • ICHTHYS - ΙΧΘΥΣ

    ΙΗΣΟΥΣ (Iēsoûs)

    ΧΡΙΣΤΟΣ (Christós)

    ΘΕΟΥ (Theoû)

    ΥΙΟΣ (Hyiós)

    ΣΩΤΗΡ (Sōtér)

  • Well... the problem is that you really do not think. You pretend to - you probably even believe that you do. But nonetheless, in the manner of your comment you proved more than obvious that you really do not think.

If the skill of reading between verses, and in acceptance of the rules of interpretation is beyond your possibility, please, better do not read, nor comment about the Holy Scripture at all... you'll save your time and perhaps - also some illusion of being reasonal being.

  • The message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 1Cor. 1:18

  • Christianity is a silly little blood cult, and those who actually believe in gods are delusional and potentially dangerous. Gods and religion are to morality as toilets are to food.

  • Silly little rant... The ones who are potentially dangerous are some prideful kids like yourself, proclaiming their delusions about deified power of rationalism... however - if you look closely - it's nothing new... not worth even to listen to it... - thus you go to "blocked" section, and everything else goes on - c ya...

  • an amazing trailer, as short as it was ,very powerful.

  • This film is too hard, full with blood and things to make you scared, I think, movies about Jesus have to be something to make you love him, not to make you feel sad... anyway anything can make me love him more than I already do...

    ♥♥♥ JESUS LOVE YOU ♥♥♥

  • This movie is so strengthening for my faith. It makes me appreciate His sacrifice. It does frighten me though, to imagine myself in His shoes. I cannot fathom the humiliation, the pain, or the suffering. People mocked Him, hurt Him, and murdered Him, and He still loved them anyway. That takes true courage <3

  • That takes to be God ;]. Only He could've done this.

  • Powerful movie.. and great trailer

  • Surely is ;).

  • Comment removed

  • Depends on what you wish to find and with what attitude you're searching.

  • Comment removed

  • That is great reason. And I mean it honestly. Jesus Himself said: "search nad you will find". Now... to be able to answer to your question I must ask, exactly what you were asking for when you wrote "dos it mean something" - what "it" you meant ? If I can - it'll be my joy to answer.

  • Some like myself are introduced into the Truth in very small assemblies. My interest is usually in other various studies so I am still rather unaware of Spirituality. I know about nothing but I hope I'm fast and talented. So I'm willing to learn from scratch... I believe I'm already getting that the vivid graphics are about stressing the Mystical Body. I did not know! But I start at the end. How can you help me to grasp the whole Scriptures and its core? Is there more to take from the movie?

  • Well... there is possibility of dual look at the movie. On one aspect, it presents mainly the apogee of Jesus' teaching, life, and finally His greatest deed - the Redemption of mankind by death on the cross and Ressurection, by which eternal life've been opened for us too. On the second aspect - everything that is in the Bible - story of God's love for mankind, His promise of salvation, fulfillment of this promise and all else is contained in what Jesus did. That's crucial essence of "Passion".

  • Jesus was the Messiah, upon this rock i will build my church, He predicted the destruction of the second jewish temple, His church is universal (Catholic). The power of hell will not prevail against it. His flesh is food indeed and His blood is drink indeed. Now the gates of heaven are open.

  • Yes, the music illustrates the mood and tone of this powerful movie

  • jesus never wanted the world have two separate religion (jews and christians) he was born as a jew and died as a jew. you want to be true believers be like jews for example rest in saturday and not in sunday, keep fitness in accordance with Jewish law and celebrate Jewish religious festivals, because jesus was a jew and did that things.

  • beautiful song!! could be part of the soundtrack...so emotional

  • jesus is still alive!he will descend frm above to kill the anti-christ!

  • and the atheist too ??

  • fuck Romans...past, present, and future.

  • Ignorance, they didnt want to kill him. But the population demanded it. They let the people decide between a murderer and Jesus.

  • Lord of justice be with us at this time of injustice! Let you love heal our wounds...

  • hmmm.... interesting...

  • Music is :

    Artist:Gabriel Peter

    Album:Long Walk Home

    Year:2002

    Name:Running to the Rain

  • from the movie rabbit proof fence

  • i'm not christian but the end of this movie mad me cry!

  • This movie made me cry

  • such a sad movie

  • the same power that conquered the grave lives in us.

the same love that rescued the earth lives in us. Where does that quote come from?

  • watching this allows me to overcome any pain one might put me through, watching his pain gives me strength

  • It was ment to happen. It was a prophecy that had to come to pass by which could only reunite ourselves with God. That was a serious thing He (Jesus) went through , but He did it because He loves us so much!

  • jesus is soon 2 come will u be ready? its eather heaven or hell

  • I love the music. Just fantastic

  • i have the CD of this though i alwayz watch it...(alwayz cry on the part when Y'shua is being beaten)......if GOD didnt sacrifice his life we wouldnt be here on earth...(im just a 10 year old kid lol and wathcing this kind of movies)GOD BLESS

  • My family is going through a very tought time becuase my father doesnt know if he wants to live with us anymore. so can you just please put the oxton family in your prayers. it would mean so much. thank you

  • You have my prayer... as well as many others who read your comment, I'm sure. Have faith and may peace be with you - whatever life brings forth. God Bless !

  • you are in my prayers too sister/brother, may God guide your family in His wisdom.

  • Remember the good news! He rose on the 3rd day! he conquered death and satan at the stake! He is the King of Kings!

  • Y'shua chose Pesach (Passover) to die because he is the sacrificial lamb of God who washed away our sins with His blood! When he comes back, He will no longer be The Lamb, but The Lion of Judah! The conqueror! Y'shua is God, and very much alive! Beshem Y'shua Hamashiach sar shalom, AMEN!

  • Y'shua is the Jewish messiah! He came to the gentile first then to the Jew! The Jewish People did not kill Messiah! We all did! We are filled with sin and Y'shua came to save us from sin. He is the innocent lamb of God and died for us! He conquered death, for He resurrected on the 3rd day! Remember Y'shua is a Jew! He taught at the synagogue and wore a tallit! The Talmidim (Disciples), were all Jews!!! Those who hate the Jews, then are against God! Y'shua is The Lion of Judah!

  • I highly agree... however I'd add this one thing that EVERYBODY who has hate in his heart is against God. The Bible itself tells us that God is Love.

  • the people that did this to him were one crazy huche

  • All of mankind is guilty of the sufferings and death of the Savior.

  • I live Jesus with all my Heart. He has such an part important part in my life. I love the Sermon on the Mountain. The Bible within the Bible.

  • Now there... leaving such comment will not help to prove our point against those who claim "Passion" to be anti-semitic will it huh ? :)... Jesus died for the sins of ALL MANKIND - and as such - all of menkind shares their resposibility in His death - Jews as well as any other nation throughout the world and timeline of our kind - Polish people, Germans, Russians, all Europe, all continets - every single one of us... thus - there's no real need to play the game "whos' more responsible".

  • If you are a humans being, you are responsible for Christs death, he died for the sins of all mankind. The jews were not responsible for his death, Jesus said "no one takes my life from me, but i lay it down of my own will"

  • i love jesus christ! but my classmate doesn't love him! how can i convince him?

  • let me tell you something, jesus didn't wanted two religions, he was born as a jew and died as a jew and he died for the jews the problem was that no jewish men didnt want to accept his way of believing in god so his followers went to other people around the world and spread his religion.

  • Well... some of Jews accepted the Gospel ;) - it's clearly written in the Scirpture

(Acts 2:41) ;). But of course - it's truth, that Jesus wanted the Jews to accept His teaching, love & gift of salvation - for example: Mark 7:27. But it was His demand also (Mark 16:15) that the Gospel is preached all over the world.

  • Is there anybody who can answer usbport86.I can't answer him becouse i am not christian.

  • Yup... I answered him, but his question wasn't asked very clearly so I'm not sure how much of help my answer'll be for him. God bless !

  • I LOVE JESUS(PBUH) not this man shows in video no body kills him he will return oneday and tell every one what was the truth.

  • why is this flagged? Its what happened! When they crucified people they weren't kind to them! They didnt go like "oo, lets u kno, not make him suffer so much" they tortured people! Idk y people said the movie is "too brutal"...its very accurate historically!

  • I agree, no idea why this was flagged. This is a great movie that shows what Our Savior did for us, because He loves us.

  • Well... I guess that it was flagged since there is on youtube presence of rather big community of people that are (euphemistically saying) "strongly antagonistic" against Jesus, Truth about His Loving Sacrifice, and all that believe in it. And thus, they try to make their antagonism visible any possible way huh ;). Not a problem though. We'll prevail ^_^.

  • I'd hate to say that 1:12 made me cringe

  • I felt so sorry for Jesus- just look how he was brutally beaten and nailed on the cross! Made me cry. :'(

  • Many people cried... (not excluding me ;)). But I think this is the place where this proverb serves well: "Not all tears are bad" ;). God Bless !

  • Fathers shall not be put to death for their children, nor children put to death for their fathers; each is to die for his own sin. (Bible, Deuteronomy 24:16,)can any one explain please i don't get why do i have to pay for what my father did even we human don't do it then god almighty is merciful.cmon guys i mean GOD almighty having a son a son surely we are lost may GOD shows us right path I LOVE JESUS (PBUH) more than anybody here. Please GOD forgive our sins and shows us right path AMEEN

  • usbport86:

I don't get why you ask "why do I have to pay for what my father did" - when you just quoted the phrase from the Bible that says exactly that such thing will not take place :^)... If you mean why Jesus "had to" pay for our sins - He didn't have to. He wanted to - to bring us all salvation. By our own we were unable to do so cause none of humans were pure enough to bear the burden of being sacrifice. Only Jesus could do that. And since He loves us - He did that for us. Hope this helps.

  • jesus you changed my life thankyou..

  • How could you condemn any man to this, least of all your savior. I can't even fathom His Mother's horror!

  • Unfortunately the same pathetic reason why the USA still have the death penalty.

  • im an atheist that goes to a catholic school

  • Goood for you, you might learn something that'll help you open yourself to the truth one day ;).

  • to all the muslims your propnet mohammod didnt have to go through this

p.s.(no offense just saying 'made me cry the first time i watched it)

  • So do you honestly think THAT is a reason why christianity is the better religion?

  • I'm sorry but this a response to which of my comments? )) I'm kind of lost now... )))

  • The one god thing. Very important.

  • Do you know how can I find the music that's playing during this clip?

    Thanks in advance, :)

  • It can be found on the soundtrack from movie "Rabbit-proof fence". The soundtrack itself is entitled: "Long Walk Home" - track 5 "Running to the Rain" is the clip used in this trailer ;). Hope this helps ;).

  • Thank you very much! God Bless! :)

  • U r welcome ;)

  • its hard to belive one man the son of man would go through this for you and me and we deny him with every sin

  • After watching this film i've converted to Catholic Christianity from Atheism.

  • Great! :)

    God Bless

  • Everyone goes through their own personal journey I'm happy for you.I did lose my Faith when I was younger,However through experiences in my life that are not humanly explainable I truly regained my faith stronger than ever.Proud Catholic!!!!!!!God Bless YOU!!!!

  • One day we shall meet in the house of Our Father ;). Till then - God Bless ! :)

  • Thank You,We will meet one day in the house of Our Father I'm looking forward to it!Keep doing what your doing there are many that are forever greatful.God Bless!!!

  • This film is powerfull, not scary but sad. He died for our sins.

  • This is so good and so terrible att the same time. I cried almost all the time.

    Beautiful trailer!

  • is this movie more scary then emotional? cause i dont know if i should watch it???

  • It's super emotional from what I remember. And you don't have to be a Christian to enjoy the film. I'm a taoist and I still thought it was an incredible piece. And no, I'm NOT a Mel Gibson fan. This was just well done.

  • Just like Topher wrote - it's not scary. It's sad. But the overall ending is triumphant ;). So I encourage you to watch it.

  • this movie is brutal!ok,it is realistic but it is too bloody. When i watched it i had nightmares for a few days....

  • Hmmm... how do you think did the flagellation & crucifixion really looked like ? In reality it looked even more terrible (for example: Jesus was whipped not by the 2 types of whips - but by three - the last one was strictly tearing out fragments of body from the convict :(.

  • As i was watching as they were beating Jesus i was crying. God bless the lord!!!

  • God bless the Lord??? LORD IS GOD AND GOD IS LORD. FATHER, SON AND HOLY SPIRIT----ONE GOD!!! Do not forget! :)

  • Amen bro

  • Beautiful trailer. Do you know where real Christians (no sects please) can be found these days in YouTube?

    Kind regards from Chile,

    Germán

  • Powerfull film.

  • wo bu guo ai de ni

  • As far as I know chinese -

    wo - I

    ai - love

    bu - no

    ni - you

the rest of it is somewhat cloudy for me ;) - what did you wrote ? :)

  • I love this film,

however it makes me cry :'(

  • me too.

  • I think its the only film where I cried the most out of anything

  • saw it yesterday. Such a powerful, emotional film

  • I would consider myself an atheist as i do not believe in God at all, never have. However, i think this is a great film, couldn't take my eyes off the screen even when awful stuff was happening...... This film affects people emotionally, even some without any religious belief.... because of this, mr gibson must've been doing something right....

    Awesome film.

  • The flailing sceen is much harder to watch the second time because you know what's coming.

  • I watch this movie every year around Palm Sunday - I bawl my eyes out each time. So hard to watch - but I need a proverbial kick in the head to remind me what He did for me.

  • Hehe ;) I know exactly what you mean... human memory is "funny" little thing that has tendency to fastly forget things that are truly important. I try to watch Passion at least once in a year.

  • its weird. i rarely find myself even shedding a tear during movies, and i only shed a few during the passion. im a hardcore christian, but i didnt fell like watching the passion today. is there something wroung with me? are you a christian Caralthiel?

  • Now there... I don't recall myself saying that if somebody didn't cry on Passion he is not good christian ;). Neither do I think so. Everybody has his/her's own sensibility and it manifests itself in different ways and in different circumstances. If you write you're hardcore christian and that you love Jesus I have no reasons to doubt that ;). And I am deeply joyful that as such young person you are so in love with Him ;). Peace to you brother ;).

  • thanks!! you are roman catholic? my grandparents are catholic, but whats the diferrence in Roman or no roman? :P

  • There are few differences but God is always the same ;). Blessings ;).

  • yeah, as it says in scripture "the LORD never changes"

  • P.S. Of course I am a christian - Roman Catholic.

  • We are all moved differently. Just because you didn't cry doesn't make you any less of a Christian, my friend. I'm a crier - what can I say? I cry at happy times and sad times. God knows what is in your heart - there is nothing wrong with you! Blessings to you, friend.

  • omg

    i saw this movie today

it was soo sad i was like crying hystericly

    =[[[

  • Me too, i watched for the first time last night on good friday.

  • Yes, many people cried during the Passion... and this one sentence is proper for their tears - "not all tears are bad" ;). As surely weren't those shed on Passion ;). And this night (current time at my place: 00:02 ^_^) we celebrate Jesus' Resurrection ! Time of joy for all who put their trust in Him - King of Glory, King of Life, King of Mercy !!! Joy to all creation ;).

  • happy easter, and god bless you.

  • Happy Easter to us all ;) Thanks ;).

  • I believe in Jesus, I love Him, and therefore I trust what He said. Mat 16, 18-19: "And I tell thee this in my turn, that thou art Peter, and it is upon this rock that I will build y church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it; and I will give to thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven."

  • Thats excerpts of what you call the church and what you believe to be our theology is just the beginning. The manipulation you speak of is more evident on your side where your life is free of rules but yet confined in your vision. Your words above say it all. Look into what not the church is but what the theology behind the church is about and perhaps you will begin to see more than just 'love your brother as yourself'.

  • Sorry to all of them who trying to find the answers for their questions. I'm glad in regard of that. But for finding the answers Bible would be the exact place.I find "Caralthiel" was doing a wonderful job.I also insist that person to guide the "answer seekers" by giving them the verse locations in the Bible for it would easily direct them to their answers for most of their questions.

  • im really touched by the message of this movie..

    the lord is alive!

  • You are mistaken my friend. Apparently you haven't watched the Passion to the end ;). It ends EXACTLY with Resurrection (and extremely beautifuly depicted one I'd say :D).

  • Yeah... And i love he didn't show an angel... Great touch...

  • Mel Gibson's artistic masterpiece restores the lost dimention of the suffering of our Lord Jesus Christ. An extraordinary representation of the Truth.

  • To him who has no eyes to see, it is dumb. I pray your eyes be opened.

  • i know, God is in three parts, the Trinity, God the Father(Jesus' Father, the one that i am talking about)God the Son(Jesus) and God the Holy Spirit

  • you all realise this is a movie

  • Mashallah what a video says Allah's name. Alhamdulillah.

  • clearly you have not seen the movie than you would know that Christ said:

"Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani" its arameic

which means: "My God, My God ,why have you forsaken me ?"

  • what is god

  • for some people everything donamarq

  • me again, could you explain to me in your own words your opinion the Eli,Eli,lema sabachthani?( I know what it means)but why was it that Christ felt that he was forsaken?,and was he forsaken by God? or was it something he only felt? it is the only arameic text I can find on google regarding "crusifiction sayings" also because of the difficulty of the Arameic language how do you wright "it is accomplished" in aramaic? if you do know I would be most greatfull for your answer

  • But God didn't truly abandon Him, since He never abandons those who put their trust in Him - even if sometimes they do feel alone. And as for aramaic I'm sorry but I don't know this language, so I'll be of no help ;).

  • thank you caralthiel, I did not feel it like God had forsaken Him , I said NO NO...during that scene, but I must say I thought that was the most powerfull moment of the movie, because and perhaps I see this wrong? I felt so much lonelyness in Christ in that moment, and the dispair, and thought it will be over soon!,and I was so glad when it was!

  • I know what you mean. When I was watching Passion in the cinema I have been on the verge of crying all the time, seeing myself as being the worst of His oppressors, seeing my sins mutilate my beloved Jesus, but when one hears His voice, so lonely and so terribly sad, so much hurt - that is almost beyond what one can endure. But what is most important is that after "why have you forsaken me" goes "Father into your hands i commend my spirit" - and that is great example for us all I think ;).

  • no matter what you believe,or don't believe,or even if you do not believe at all this movie leaves you with one question: what did jesus do to deserve this!!

  • And the truth is that He didn't deserve any tiny little scratch from it all. He willingly choose to bear it upon Himself to protect us from experiencing it. That is what I call love written by big L.

  • thank you for that comment, and that you have clearly so much love for the Lord,(and I am so sorry I am like the Thomas),I admire people that have such a trust and faith in God, I keep seeing such a horror in this movie I still can't understand the why!,perhaps It will come to me in time, thank you for sharing with me a clearer view in Christianity,it is a very powerful movie and it needs to be treated with respect,as it was intended by Gibson & Caviezel, may peace and love be with you!

  • Even though you compare yourself to Thomas in this troublesome way and some attitude that He presented, remember dear sister that he did said: "My Lord and my God", he did become powerful in faith and in love and he did gave his life for our mostly beloved Jesus ;). Our strength does not come from us - it comes from the One we love ;). He is above any of our weakness and always desires to help us become so much more than we are ;). My thanks for your important & kind comments ;). God bless !

  • I do need to explain I am Dutch, and we have a saying that goes like this:, If you do not believe what you cant see, you are like an "unbelieving thomas" this is why I compare myself to thomas, perhaps not a good expression because of the diffrent countries we come from?

  • Oh well... this does not annul what I wrote about Thomas and the possible example of him becoming radical believer from unbeliever ;).

  • I Know caralthiel thomas became a believer after he found "the proof", I still have not found that "proof"...I hope you do understand now what I mean, but some people spend their intire life on searching & it will not be a wasted life, this is why I envy those who do not ask the question and believe so strongly! it must be at peace kind of feeling..
