Well, that alliance is still acive with 13 members. i recovered my account i had given to the leader but like you i abandoned the game many months ago and i am very negative in gold also. this realm finished on 22.01.2010
yeah... i made the same, and I find selen (ex-underworld leader who tooks my account) where using my account as a goldmine for "the_rock" alliance (now he´s there)... I got really furious and leave account with 0 gold and all workers free and changed the password (and vidarP missed 2 atacks to me; 37000 elite soldiers took 6 gold) hehe :)

I left the game some months ago, my account were taked for my ally leader... I heard now i have a lot of negative gold :(
