scsi drives i got in my new server well they wouldnt even install or boot up windows server 2008 OMFG!!! i just scrapped them and shot the hard drives with a bullet many bulletz
to soccer yes they did have some run at 10K rpm (compaq 18.2 GB, Ultra2 Wide SCSI, Internal, 3.5" x 1/2H, 5.7 ms, 10000 rpm)and as for the "REAL" manufacture of the drive well i have completely taken another one apart and had no other brand but compaq, but i really dont care what brand or "REAL" brand it is it could say "PIECEOSHIT" for all i care it is just still a hard drive speaker and go look at the specs that i put in the beginning of the post.
the sound is comming from the HD,i had the device hooked up to my old stereo since there was one good channel left on it(pioneer 1979) and i did not have a amplifier and as for the song well it was something on the radio
i bought nothing, one of my hard drives went out in my 12 bay SCSI rack so i took it out and did this project which soon i am going to upgrade to 12x 32GB 15,000RPM drives so i will have more to play around with later.
Wait... so some of the older SCSI hard drives actually spun at 10,000 rpm ??? I always thought that 10,000 rpm drives came out ...like 3-4 years ago. Guess I was wrong lol. And just out of curiosity... what is the REAL brand name of that drive because Compaq never actually manufactured Hard Drives....
can you make me a left and right set?

high RPM drives work a lot better for this. 10,000 and 15,000 drives sound best

Why would you throw out a perfect 18GB Hard drive??? You should've bought a smaller one to experiment with
