What is the max fill on a Trangia? I was considdering the fact that it has a cap and can probably carry fuel within. Is this possible or should it be emtied after use as in a penny stove?
i just bought new trangia mini set and tried out the stove... with 2/3 filled with denatured alcohol and it burned 55 minutes, outside without extra windscreen
I use the rule of 30ml (is approximately one ounce) of Methylated spirit to boil 1 liter (33.81 oz) of water.
When it is to cold, you can prime Trangia burners elements by pouring a little extra fuel in the slight depression on the rim of the burner, where the base of the simmer ring sits when it is fitted.
This speeds up fuel vaporisation and jetting a bit.

@CaptSmiley29906 It's not necessary to empty it. I've been mine for close to 10 years and often keep fuel inside, especially for shorter trips.
DO make sure you rinse out whatever container you keep your fuel well in though. Some fuels have nasty additives in them that taste like death.
