  • it's just starting to really irritate me that it does this every time is all.

  • i want to know how to fix my jvc xv-n650. like the one you have. everytime there is a power outage it doesn't turn on and the disc drive always pops out. what do i do? sorry if this is the wrong place to ask.

  • @sightseer13

Oh sorry, there was no info on my messages about your comment until now. Don't really know why that's happening, mine doesn't do that. It just resets with taking the power cord out of the wall, yes?

  • Why did you tag "jamo digital 120"? Are those the ones you have all the way at the end as front speakers? And how were they? U remember any specs?

  • @kammelto

Don't know any specs for them. Jamos are the outer ones on the front, they're not playing in this vid. There is a video of them playing a song though. One of the best speakers for jazz, classic and all that :)

  • @OjStudios So The midrange is good? I have the same set you see :) And im just starting to invest i my sound, and I got these from my father. Thought Id buy a subwoofer since the treble and midrange sounded nice :)) And you seem to have some knowledge so therefore I thought Id ask you if the sound is good when I buy a sub with "crossovers" or what ever its called in english :D And then get a good sound (granted I buy a good amplifier too ofc

  • @kammelto

Oh, you got Jamo Digital 120's? Nice find, think they're pretty rare. =) With good sub I think they should fit for more music genres. Still they're best for acoustic music.

  • Nice set up dude. A person has to begin from somewhere and you my friend are heading into the right direction.

  • @houdsfishing

Thanks! It's old setup, now I got loads of better with separate pre and poweramplifier, better sub, tv and all that.

  • Classics have every piece in own form. Good objective setup.

  • @TI3J

    Thanks. =)

  • @ATOBBrothers

Had some blurays that time but they were pretty weak movies. And my PS3 can do that. =)

  • nice!

  • Great taste in movies lol

  • @Derekm905

Haha, lol. I got a load of movies, from different genres. :P

  • your sub is placed wrong....

  • @krypekeeper

I know, it should be in the center of one wall on the right or the left OR on the front with the F-speakers. On my new setup it is.

  • those rocks under the table, are they to peg at intruders? xD

  • @WeakSignaI

    Mmm.. something like that.. x)

  • why do u need a DVD player when u got the ps3?

  • @TheSpiritOfTheWest

I had the DVD-player, then bought PS3 year or two after. That's why.. It's just there to be there or something. I have a new house and better setup nowadays. Gotta film it someday.

  • Downloading pirated films is illegal FUCK OF!!!!!!!!!!

    I hate that fucking add

  • @kalosanin

I hate that one too, can't even fucking skip it with normal player. Better players, PC and PS3 can skip it though. :)

  • are thos subs up the front. the 2 yellow coned speakers. or just front speakers

  • @EASTYJAZ34

They're front speakers. I've got a video only for those speakers.

  • JVC Just Very Complicated. Why is the subwoofer next to the couch?

  • @asatruviking

Maybe so but it works just like it should and is enough for the room. Sub is there because it doesn't fit anywhere else :(

When I make a new video of my new better setup, then the placing should be better.

  • @OjStudios

I don't think there anything wrong with having a sub next to the couch. It's not conventional but I mean, in theory their supposed to be omni directional meaning they sound exactly the same anywhere in the room. (except corners), and if you buy 7.4 you're gonna end up with sub next to your couch anywhere.

ps. You have a good taste in indoor plants ;)

  • @Disinf3ctant

Yea in .4 there would be one sub on every wall. "Best" place should be one sub per wall in the middle.

  • @Disinf3ctant If you have the subwoofer next to the couch you will detect tones that you shouldn't hear even with the crossover set properly . Also placing a sub in the corner is not necessarily a bad thing. If it's a non powered subwoofer then you my benefit from putting it in a corner or behind the entertainment center it all depends on the room and speaker placement. The bass can always be adjusted on the Amp.

  • @asatruviking

It makes it really boomy if you put it in a corner. Try it, sounds totally different. And yes you're right. Putting it next to the couch will annoy you if your pay close attention to the sound. One thing I noticed was that it tends to resonate through your furniture producing that stupid juttering noise on bass intense scenes.

  • @Disinf3ctant You are Correct in some applications a powered sub will sound very boomy if put in a corner it depends on the layout of the room. Bass traps also help with smoothing out bass. Bass is multiplied by the number of walls it's touching. A passive sub is different. Some passive sub are actually designed to sound best in the corner. I still have clients that prefer Passive over powered because they feel that they sound more musical. It depends on the application. I see all kinds.

  • @asatruviking

I have a peeve. If you switch from stereo to 5.1 or more on a system with a passive sub you'll hear the bass drop ever so slightly. It annoys the hell out of me.

  • @Disinf3ctant Passive subs can't produce the LFE necessary for 5.1 that's the reason for the drop. Passive subs are better for two channel music rather than for multi channel movies. My grandfather has two Cambridge Soundworks book shelf speakers with a passive sub(in the corner) and a 1974 Yamaha tube driven receiver. Let me tell ya, wow! It sounds warm and sweet with a full range .

  • @asatruviking

Passive have no difference to active speakers if they don't have any adjustments to sound on themselves. Passive can sound as good and even better than active if powered through good amplifier and passive or active filter.

For my placement next to couch is because the room is so small, can't fit it anywhere else at the moment. Anyhow, I'm moving and then making new video where the placement of everything is better. New equipment also.

  • @OjStudios It's all in how you run it. Passive subs are typically run at speaker level so you would set your speakers to large. You can use a separate amp to drive the passive sub although most people mainly of the female persuasion don't want that much equipment in their living room. Unfortunately It is about aesthetics first and performance second if it doesn't look good most people won't care how it sounds . You have to keep the client happy if you want to get paid.

  • piracy is a crime-_- and greediness isnt??

  • @darkj3am

Greediness? What the hell are you mumbling about?

  • @OjStudios oh nothing.... dont mind me.. ^_^ *****those companies that sell theyre product overprice grrrr**** ^_^

  • @darkj3am

Yea, all the electronics are too god damn expensive and overpriced. Like graphics card. Costs 500 dollars in shop and costs 30 dollars to make.

  • dude why JVC its such a terrible product you can do better

  • @derekcjain

Maybe because it cost like around 2000€ when it was new and I got it for free?

And it doesn't suck. But, when I move, my own set consists Yamaha as a preamp and parasound as poweramp. I'll upload a video of the setup when our (me and my fiance) home is ready.

  • nice set up man

  • @EASTYJAZ34

    Thanks!

  • peace of crap

  • @MegaSoccerplayer15

Haha, works for me. But I'm moving so I can setup my power amps etc. properly. Then it's a beast setup. =) You'll see.

  • Toi subbari ei oo siis aktiivi?

  • @BMM51

On se aktiivi. Audio Pro Focus tjms. taitaa olla.

  • fuck sake i cant here the subs!!!!! are u a chicken beaucse u have ur subs turned down!!!!!!!!

  • @calvinchoe100

    Haha, lolled. =)

Nope, camera just doesn't pick up the bass. There was plenty of it, everything shook because I turned it to 60vol or so.

  • Where do you live?

  • @teariblespellar

    Finland, why?

  • Crapy an jvc sucks

  • @zxcv1789

Nah, they're more than good in this setup. Watch the newer video of my own gaming corner. It has parasound, audiolab and yamaha, they don't suck. Too much power in that little corner, but it's okay to have reserve. :)

  • you sound make boxes for those woofers in the front just sitting there

  • @Leerske

There are woofers on the boxes below the midranges. Those 12" drivers are midranges and sound open because they're not enclosed. :)

  • those two speakers in the front look like eyes......but damn they sound good

  • @PrinceThe8th

Yea, they look pretty weird and kinda "ugly" but sound great!

  • 52'' would be even better. Then you should get a blue ray player. If you haven't seen any blue ray movies you are missing out on what true HD and digital sound is lol.

  • @wilsonweed123

I know, I know. Do people ever read other comments or should I put this to infobox "They cost too goddamn much and I don't need them because I got real theatre with 200" screen, or something around that size.

I got PS3 and I've watched blu-ray movies. Sharper picture and better sound, I know. This receiver just doesn't do 5.1/7.1 analog nor it has HDMI.

  • i dont get those 2 speakers without box

  • @MrSuperMarek

I have a separate video of them on my channel. Maybe that will lighten things up? :)

It's freeair midrange. Woofer is ported on the box below them.

  • get a bigger tv and a blu ray player and preferably a couch that dont look like a guys asshole cause your home cinema sucks lol

  • @SimonSerenade

Yea, lol. I hate the couch too. Can't do shit about that right now. I have PS3 which is better than good enough blu-ray player for me. Bigger TV's still cost arm'n'leg. I'm fine with this one. I'll be buying a new one when I got the money though.

  • @SimonSerenade

    And why my HT sucks?

I STILL have that bigger REAL theater so why the hell would I wanna spend too much money on this one? Gotta take video of it.

  • Get A Projector

  • @iBeDomo98

And put it where? Room is too god damn small. I got a real theater already so.. just gotta take video of it.

  • WOOOOOOOOOOOOOWW!!

  • @guzziman96

Heh, it's not that "woooow". I should take a video from my other theater, not "home" theater to give you real "woow" effetc. ;)

  • pretty nice ... butt your camra sound is not good enough to hear the good sound in your room !

  • @deddix50

Yea, camera's mic is pretty good but not that good to record the awesome sounds and effects. Hehe.. It should be recorded in 5.1 and played back in 5.1 to fully experience it.

  • Nice setup ;) 5/5 and check my audio ;P

  • @parufkens2

    Thanks! Sure, I will.

  • sweet bro

  • @KandL201

    Thanks man, much appreciated!

  • lol, I love amps that give good mechanical feedback and noises. :P

  • @MyRandomReviews

Haha. Yea it clicks nicely, lol.

  • Very nice setup you got there for home theatre! Check mine out sometime!

  • @MercurySabre81

    Thanks, I will!

  • Cool set-op.

  • @TheTomROCKEr

    Thanks man!

  • nice set up. what is that little stand your DVD player sits under? really cool. never saw anything like it

  • It's just a piece of chipboard and rubberstands.

With it, I have a place for DVD-player and TV is a tad higher and closer to eye level. :)

  • you got a pre amp there?

and what does that add to the sound if it is?

  • Where you saw a pre amp?

    It's integrated AV-amp.

  • crap HDTV model you got there.

  • @AronChoi

I wouldn't say it's crap. It's okay for casual TV and movie watching.

Good TV's just cost too fucking much because I'm not that much into movies or anything like that. CRT's have the best image still, no doubt.

  • nice setup mate

    speakers sounds really good.

    i like it very much.

  • @29Kyle

    Thanks!

Yea, even through youtube it sounds very crisp, I'm suprised.

  • very nice speakers, but screen a little small no?

  • @VincentMng

Yea, 32". It was a big improvement over the last one but 40" or so would be little bit better now. They just cost arm'n'leg here in Finland.

  • i like it!!!

    its unique for its look

  • @kimboslice223

    Thanks man, appreciate it. =D

  • WOw! She looks and sounds great! Enjoy!

  • @AMOVIEROOM

Thank you very much, glad you like it!

  • now thats a cool ht (the buttrocker)

  • @butrokr

    Thanks butrokr!

And you're the man! Haha :)

  • Gradient speakers are good! :)

  • @tog455

Yeah, they are really good even if they're old and ugly.

  • Yes I know, that's an old joke from 80-90's when these were made. Anyway, they sound awesome and lifelike.

  • youd get more bass if you jammed that sub right in the corner. you get 6dB gain from a corner!

  • I know that corner boosts but also muddies the lower freqs. I want bass to be more precise and clear, not louder.

  • are the free air speakers actually active?

    thx

  • @NIkeAir26

Nope, they're not active. They are pain in the ass to drive for amplifier. They're like 5.5 ohms and lower than that altogether.

    Still, they work very nicely.

  • thx, check my hometheater and say what u think but the rocordings are bad

  • @NIkeAir26

    Will do then. =)

  • SO GETTO but awsome

  • @jjffmm13

    Hahaha. =D

    Thanks!

  • dude u still have to put in movies fuckin hard drive ftw get some. good setup but id use a pc for the videos i mean rent videos store them on ur pc. my pc just the box rrp for 4k

  • @projectlancer

I'll have PC on my own setup, this is from my parents. And I will not rent any movies. And I would need 4K projector or something.

  • le falta mucho mas bajo a ese sistema de cine en casa...

  • @JAVICOECU

    In english please?

This is not much smaller hometheater.. ehm what?? Didn't get it.

  • So retro

  • @projectlancer

    What's so retro? =D

Sofa? Haha, it's a damn joke compared to everything else.

  • thats a wasome setup man!!!

  • Heh, thanks. =)

TV could be 40" or a bit bigger but that'll do fine. It has nice image quality.

  • Whered You Get The Double Disc For 28 Days & 28 Weeks?

    Btw, Killer Setup Dude

  • Now get a decent sofa ..ffs.

  • Hahaha =D *thumbs up*

With what money after this? :)

  • you wont get the magnet effect on lcd and plasma thats for tube tv

  • Yea, I was pretty sure of that too. Thanks for the info though!

  • Crazy speakers!

  • Haha, thanks! =)

  • ur going to warp your tv screen because of those free aired speakers and cause of how close they are,if u havent yet u will 1 of these days if u do not move it

  • Does a magnet affect LCD? Don't think so but not so sure, any proof? Can't move them anymore apart than that because of the little space. The idea was use those Gradients as my main speakers on the other set and little sony speakers as front speakers.

  • i have a 42" lcd dtv screen and it was warped the color guns wer after my speakers wer so close like urs if it doesnt warp yours then thats goon but if u put the speakers closer to the screen u can tell if it warps

  • Ok, thanks for the heads up warning! =)

  • get a plasma

  • And why's that? I know that they have better picture but in gaming burn-in is a bit of an issue. Plasmas are not even brought to EU region anymore, shame.

  • Will Damn man u have this really Load ass System but u have A Small ass T.V Shit u Should at least buy a bigger T.V for that big Ass Sound

  • Yes because the fucking tv's cost arm'n'leg here in finland goddamnit. Even that FullHD 32" is something like 800€ :S

  • @francisco7271 you like the word ass huh? you said it three times!

  • @RWL2011

    Hahaha :D

  • @OjStudios :-)

  • so i'm not the only guy with a cool private home theater ,LOL

  • Heh, righty. =)

  • Nice tv.

  • Thanks. Could be bigger though. =)

  • great setup man..keep it up

  • Thanks buddy!

  • Awesome setup. I like your front speakers :)

  • Thank you very much!

These are one of the best speakers that I've ever heard. Very lively sound.

  • Nice setup, this is a true home theatre.

    I like that movie.

    5/5

  • Thank you very much!

That movie is cool, you're right about that!

  • Even though it's through youtube video, I can still hear the great sound being output by your speakers.

    Very nice setup to.

  • Thank you!

Video is bit of a mess because I did it in a hurry, but glad you liked it.
