i think ice climbers have to be present for the glitch to work, but the guy making this didn't want them to get in the way. so he just plugged in a controller (or brought another or watever. the whole wireless thing kinda throws u off) and put on a chair or something.

well though you are wrong about lucario being the same, they put him in to represent diamond as they did with Ike. Ike represents the newest game of the series while marth represents the first. and lucario is a bit different, hes fast and powerful with some different b so he defnitely isnt a clone

The reason why I think they got rid of Mewtwo is because during the time of Melee, Pokemon like Mewtwo and Pichu were popular characters. Now there's more modern Pokemon, and since Mewtwo isn't a classic SSB fighter, tney must have decided to come up with a fresh new fighter.
