P.S. I truly do not mean to offend. If I've been insensitive in my comment, I apologize. This is not something I've dealt with in my life. I've had other issues I can relate to more directly in storylines that really impact me, so I understand that we're all coming from a different place when relating to the story. No, rape is not romance, but neither is nearly letting someone be executed for a crime you committed, or lots of other things that routinely happen on a soap. The romance is in the redemption, forgiveness, and understanding... This applies to hidden pregnancies, baby-switches, and blackmailing, as well. This is not an argument in favor of or against Ejami (though I am an Ejami fan). Just pointing out the law of soapland.

Sami raped Austin using drugs. That was rape, no question. Sami was given a choice, that's not rape. I'm not saying it's right but in my eyes what Sami did to Austin was worse than what EJ did to Sami.

It was rape. The show and the actors involved also said it was rape. The powers that be also commented that they "hoped it would just go away" and "never be referenced again"
