  • Linda interpretação, nos leva a relembrar as românticas cenas de Em Algum Lugar do Passado, com Christopher Reeve & Jane Seymour

  • How can anyone not love this song. She is so great on this song. Love it.

  • I saw her in a handout when I went to see the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra as one of the upcoming events. Luckily I went to that event but had to leave directly afterward. Does she like, not age, or something. No way she is 40. ...oh by the way, the most naturally flowing violinist ive ever seen. I must meet her one day.

  • sensacional,no violino ta lindo demais, amei!!!parabéns pelo video....

  • who has the violin sheet, appreciate if anyone can send me this violin sheet.

  • A beautiful version of a beautiful melody composed by John Barry for the film of the same name starring Christopher Reeves and Jane Seymour in 1980. Barry had recently lost both his parents and some say their loss inspired him to compose such sad but gorgeous music.

  • Comment removed

  • does anyone know where i can get the sheet music?

  • @skron030508 how bout you google it ;)

  • @Amyna uhmm I'm sorry, you won't find it. Chee-yun told me that most of her encore pieces such as this one have not been published nether can she sell them for purchase. She has the her part but most of the piano parts are improvised. So sorry guys !! :/ :(

  • @vlhere Yeah, but the original song isn't hers so you can find sheets for that alright ;)

  • @Amyna yup you can find the piano transcription..what I did was I used that to write down what Chee-yun played and also built up the piano score for it...I have almost exactly what she played..

  • wonderfull with passion

  • This is awesome, so beautiful melody, thanks for posting

  • beautiful and wonderful, anyone can upload HD version please.

  • as i listen to this beautiful music, i remember the girl who i used to be with...

  • really good

  • Sorry to chip in again. I hate to see the posts of people fighting, so I'll make a post that is more recent and perhaps, together, Chee-yun fans can push them off this page. She is so beautiful and plays so beautifully as well. This song is about hope for the impossible. Chee-yun is impossibly talented and startlingly lovely. Rumors are she is currently divorced. She should be married to Beethoven. But, then, he's not with us anymore and there are also those rumors he was gay. Greg G.

  • who has the music sheet of this music? i want the violin music sheet! please and thank you!

  • @honkeydonkeyponkey

Really? It's not tat great to work at mcdonalds. But then again compared to u, a 50 year old, still livin in the basement of his moms house, creatin a new persona on youtube just to make himself feel all high and mighty. Hey man I understand. But if u wanna become a great violinist, go practice. Get off yo bum and do somethin foo

  • @honkeydonkeyponkey

OH u kno wat's funny? U're still responding. Just like a 10 year old.

  • @honkeydonkeyponkey

Again you're avoiding my arguments. Shows how u can't even read son. I made it clear by wat i meant on how ur "college degree" is meaningless.

  • @honkeydonkeyponkey

Whoa whoa talk about goin off topic here. Since when did I say democracy is meaningless or any form of organized structure? Or when did I say life is meaningless? Broad generalization huh. Ur logical fallacies won't get ur anywhere in this argument my friend.

  • @honkeydonkeyponkey Tats y people lost money wen tey invested in mutual funds. Oh tis guy has a finance degree, he knos wat he's doin. Uve said tat ud stop respondin long ago. U realize ur way of thinkin & talkin is tat of a 10 year old. Immature. Let me know wen u appreciate & understand the violin & music in general. Those "big conservatories" rly got their $ out of u. Cuz from wat i'm readin, u didn't learn shit. U probably learned the techniques but not why the techniques were developed

  • @honkeydonkeyponkey

Blah blah? Some can't register a word i say. A college degree is meaningless if you can't apply what you learned. How come people with business degrees dont even kno how to invest in stocks? See keyword, "considered." We get college degrees so people can perceive us as respectable people. This is where we humans are flawed. We trust these so called degrees too much.

  • @honkeydonkeyponkey

OH btw, this is wat people normally do wen they lose an argument. They stray away from the topics and then result to insults. You just say, "Oh don't even talk bc you're wrong. And youre wrong even though i can't argue why u're wrong. Well u're wrong bc i wont admit im wrong." LAME son

  • @honkeydonkeyponkey

OH i'm sorry am i startin to hurt ur feelers? Aww someone needs a hug. This is my area of expertise. Who r u to say tat this is ur area of expertise? Talkin all high and mighty on the internet definitely does NOT make u an expertise. Yet again you say something so grand yet u can't even argue for urself. Expertise my ass. Haha u said "shut the fuck up." Tat made my day. Thank you so much man. Funny how you tell me to get a life, yet look at wat u're doing at the same time.

  • @honkeydonkeyponkey

oh my b. I meant. "Proves tat u're the 1 wit the cognitive issue."

  • @honkeydonkeyponkey

Ure right. We are on different levels. I'm right and your wrong. That's about it. Too bad ur pride wont let u see that.

    Peace

  • @honkeydonkeyponkey

Haha dumbass? Please look at u. U have avoided a majority of my arguments. Why? Because u cant say anything. Uve run out of things to say because im right. Ure vanity has taken over u. Ur pride has taken over u so all you can say is, "oh well i'm a julliard alumni so im right. I must be right. hah." How am i not registering it wen im countering all ur arguments. Unlike u where u stray away from mine. Prove tat ure the 1 wit the cognitive issue.

  • @honkeydonkeyponkey

Oh so u will be concertizing? I thought u graduated from julliard. WTF happened to u? Couldnt make it to those big time symphonies huh. I dont see u on a real stage anywhere.

  • @honkeydonkeyponkey

Please. A person like you a "julliard alum?" If tis is wat they're teachin in julliard then tat school is shit. Which is probably why u arent. U limit urself & ur violin style will forever stay stagnant. U will not evolve. Glissandos dont hve to be used as ornaments. U can use them to wat pleases the ear. How else are new styles & ideas brought to life. Creativity is unlimited. Einstein even says so.

  • @honkeydonkeyponkey

"when you respond to this post, try to refrain from using the words: LAME FAIL OWNED" Red herring. Nice try. This doesnt prove anything or invalidate my arguments. U JUST GOT PWNED SON! Ur lame arguments do fail. So now u're lookin for fancy language? Sad sad sad

  • @honkeydonkeyponkey

Uh well im not arguing to save my face watever tat means. I'm arguing wit u because its fun and i get a nice kick out of it. U cant talk for others and say what they'll think. Again tat's an adhoc fallacy. Ure creating ur own variables to give u the upper hand.

  • @honkeydonkeyponkey

Oh really? Prove it. Prove tat u're an alumnus from julliard. Then again, it really means nothing if u have no ammunition to argue with

  • @honkeydonkeyponkey

Through the majority of the argument, I did not repeat most of wat u said. I only repeated ur questions to show that they're flawed in tat i can ask the same and tat they're not relative to the argument. Ure strayin away from the topic to attack me and my credibility. It doesnt counter anything or prove anything and i actually proved tat i can play the violin if u listened to my heart station remix.

  • @honkeydonkeyponkey

okay u kno wat cheeyun wuld think tat in the world in your head. i do play the violin. Go on my page and listen to my Heart Station remix. Oh yea i thought it was funny how u saw my name and judged me without even listening to my music. Again u FAIL. U kno i should ask u instead. Do you play the violin? Do u have pro training? Askin those questions again wouldnt prove anything bc i could ask the same. Instead make an argument to counter mine instead of tryin to insult me.

  • @honkeydonkeyponkey

I DO HAVE THE UPPERHAND. Funny how u say im absorbed in my own world yet u keep sayin, "oh i kno tat this person and these people will think this because in my head i think they would and i think tat people will think that ure the idiot here if they had a right mind like mine." Uve made 1 argument and then moved on to insults. Now ur insults are a waste of my time. Uve provided to me nothing worthy

  • @honkeydonkeyponkey

lame lame lame lame LAME! Gosh ure seriously tat dumb? U ran out of stuff to say so now your just resulting to INSULTS? Man u are so sad. Keep insulting. Not only have u strayed away from all my arguments, but uve also made urself look like an idiot.

  • @honkeydonkeyponkey

Uh u seriously are an idiot. lowest caliber? U realise tat most artists have to start low and then build high. I started off by remixing songs and now look, a guy who composes for disney is interested in my work. That's when i changed my artist name to AuTra. Again, DJs make some of the best music. U again are limiting ur musical brackets and again are in no position to judge who is of lowest caliber. U are just being an arrogant idiot once again

  • @honkeydonkeyponkey

Okay so now u kno what she would do? Quit creating ur own variables to try to prove ur own point. If u READ, I didn't disregard it all. I said tat u can be born with a natural understanding of music and understand music more than someone who took music classes. No matter how many violin classes i take, I will never be as good as the top violinist because I wasnt born wit it. LEARN TO READ and learn how to argue please.

  • @honkeydonkeyponkey

Ooo a real education. Ur "real" education is just as real as ur stupid claims. U mustve got some shitty education if u think so ignorant like tat. U realise tat some people are just born wit an innate understanding for music. A real education will mean little to nothin if u can appreciate music as a whole.

  • @honkeydonkeyponkey

"i don't even want to waste my time looking up whatever garbage you think you've accomplished." An obvious sign of close mindedness. Intimidated with what I have arent u? Ooooo gingold and galamian. Tat has just made u even more arrogant. U bein under them didnt make u a better musician, but a blind one. A stagnant one tat cannot evolve wit music. May i ask ur name then?

  • @honkeydonkeyponkey

    @honkeydonkeyponkey

Then u must hate her vibratos bc they were originally meant to be ornaments. It's a good habit for the kind of style she plays. Again you cant tell me how a glissando is supposed to be used. How i think they should be used will be different than what u perceive. Such a highly arrogant statement.

  • @honkeydonkeyponkey

strayin away from the topic now aren't we. Ironic cause if i recall, u were tellin me to stay on topic. Now ure just sayin all this shit about my musical talent wen u obv did no research on me.

  • @honkeydonkeyponkey

Again, tryin to insult? Weak. U obv ran out of stuff to talk about.

  • @honkeydonkeyponkey

My ears arent trained? I have perfect pitch foo. Again stop makin claims without a backbone. Damn u suck at arguing. Now ure just resulting to insults. I could say the same, the way she plays supports my claim. Is tat all u got? Weak nut

  • @honkeydonkeyponkey

Since wen did i ever argue against settin a solid foundation? Of course i kno tat. Ud be surprised. Wen poems are broken into an innovative grammatical way, it gets praised. Stay on topic. Ure accusing me of arguing against u on something i didnt even talk about. She has a strong foundation. Without tat foundation she wouldnt be the violinist tat she is today. It's not a big deal, but wen u say tat u kno tat its unacceptable in real classical music, then that's goin too far

  • @honkeydonkeyponkey

hah im goin off topic? why r u bringing up physics now? I wasnt talkin about decibels or pitch. & actually yea u can. If ur ears were accurate, u could be amazed by something like tat. Haha ive heard? No, ive developed tat idea myself. Those are my personal beliefs. Again, makin a broad claim without such proof. Damn u are so shitty at arguing.

  • @honkeydonkeyponkey

okay i dont kno wth im sayin. obv. again u make a claim without explaining. poor.

  • @honkeydonkeyponkey

How am i calling all pro musicians and legends arrogant idiots? That is the worst logical fallacy ive heard from u. Ure the only one on here who hates her "shifting." Her technique is strong. Man like ive said OVER AND OVER again, she shows tat she can shift accurately. Damn read.

  • @honkeydonkeyponkey

People on the radio cant sing but people still like them. People like screamo. I like screamo. Gets me hyped up so yea i do like screaming in diff pitches. Go listen to my composition before judging. Youtube an artist named Pogo. He composed for Disney and he asked me if i was interested in workin wit him. We're bout to release our first track. So u tell me if my composition sux.

  • @honkeydonkeyponkey

Relativity. U cant tell me wat's good or bad. Im goin on a tangent? I never said tat u said u shouldnt like her. First of all, i tried to prove tat her glissandos were intentional bc she shows tat she can shift accurately. U dont understand the technique of glissando bc u obv cant tell tat she does it intentionally. Y wuld a violinist of her lvl shift horribly if she shows she can shift accurately. Obv its a glissando.

  • @honkeydonkeyponkey

aw im sry am i hurtin ur feelers? im targetin u for the hell of it. closed minded people lik u r fun to argue wit. Im inferior? U rly do think highly of urself. Point proven. Looks like ure goin to have to shut up bc ive proven to kno more. Of course u dunno how to get it through my head bc ure wrong which makes ur arguments weak. "legitimate musician of some stature." Im guessin ud be one of these musicians huh? Funny. How do you talk so boldy bout somethin u dont kno.

  • @honkeydonkeyponkey 3. Nothin is wrong wit someone appreciatin farting as music. Fartin can be utilized in music as a way to provide humor. If u kept an open mind, u wouldve seen how it couldve been used. But i dont blame u. Not everyone has the creativity to think of such ideas. 4. Im on topic. Read foo

  • @honkeydonkeyponkey

    @honkeydonkeyponkey

    1. i used the real quote bc u claimin tat u kno wat real music is simply shows how u limit ur views on music. 2. already covered. u dont kno wat it means. words change meaning. their interpretations of their meaning change but not their original meaning. U simply didnt prove anything and again just made a broad claim without any thought.

  • @honkeydonkeyponkey

So ure sayin tat our language is the same as it was during Shakespeares time? Art is doin whatever the hell u want. It's a form of expression. Art can be more systematic and sophisticated than wat u see & hear or it can be as simple as a beat. U tryin to define wat true art is not ur position. U cant tell me wat tru art is bc wats tru to me wont be tru to u.

  • @honkeydonkeyponkey

Language always changes. Words change. Music is always transforming just like language. Poetry takes many forms just like the genres of music. U tell me tat I dont understand the aesthetic values of art, yet u only appreciate one side of the face with ur "real" music. Im open to its beauty in the many forms it comes. Urs is limited. Mine is open. Ur claim tat i dont kno the aethetic values of art is just as lame as ur argument for wat "real classical music" is.

  • @xXRoxasKH2Xx , it's useless trying to point out your say with honkeydonkeyponkey...this person told he studied with Chee-yun..so there it goes......Chee-yun did way better and is now an outstanding violinist while he is just here mocking here and doing nothing and in fact claiming to be better than her in her Beethoven concerto video......hahha

  • @vlhere

oh wow he replied. I didn't kno i was using my brothers account. Yea people like to talk big about themselves in the online world. He can sit at his computer claiming all he wants.

  • @honkeydonkeyponkey

"It's not my place to say whether you should like this person or not"

no shit. what does this prove? nothing. Now ure arguing just to argue. Ur arguments are weak and lack any thought behind it. I listen to all types of music. I compose all types of music. I broaden the brackets of my musical range while ure stuck in ur closed space.

  • @honkeydonkeyponkey

Listen to urself. Ure telling me tat I dont understand the aesthetic values of art when u cant appreciate art. So wat r the aesthetic values of art? U make such a broad statement yet u cant even back urself up. U just conform to ur lil society of arrogant idiots.

  • @honkeydonkeyponkey

Immature? Okay sorry for my lack of fancy words but tats basically wat it is. Wat u hear are sound waves fyi, which is noise. Some noise will appeal to others while some noise wont. Its just another form of language tats so diverse that u cant say 1 language is more cacophonous than the other.

  • @honkeydonkeyponkey

Me understandin the technique is actually insignificant. I dont need to understand it to comprehend tat it sounds nice. Ure just tryin to find the smallest thing bout her to hate bc ure 1 of those arrogant fools tat think u kno everything about music because your ears are apparently so musically inclined. First of all, that just makes u close-minded to all music and the diverse forms it takes. How can u tell me what "real" music is wen u cant even appreciate it as a whole.

  • @honkeydonkeyponkey

Hah I actually play the violin. I dont understand? Okay yea so far ure makin claims with no backbone. I showed u where she shifted accurately. How is it tat I dont understand? You dont understand why she uses glissandos the way she does.

  • @honkeydonkeyponkey

haha "real" classical music. you're killin me. you can't define what's real music. no one can. it's all relative. Not only is tat claim arrogant but it's also close minded. hey if u dont like her glissandos then that's fine but seriously don't say that you kno it's because she can't shift. You seriously think that at 1:28 she can't shift accurately without sliding in such a small interval? A violinist at her level obviously did it intentionally to achieve that sound.

  • @honkeydonkeyponkey

& how r u so sure that it's inefficient shifting? okay so you know what "real" classical music is supposed to sound? you're just another arrogant person who thinks you know what music is. Noise is music.

we are all different, so what sounds good to you may not sound good to others. I love the slides. I think the glissandos sound so nice. At 2:24 she shifts without trouble. She doesn't need to slide to find the pitch. That shows that she knows where she's shifting

  • my god. what a beautiful cover of my favorite song. it definitely showed the emotion behind the song.

  • @honkeydonkeyponkey

a little slidding adds to the warmth of the song. if u didn't kno, there's an actual musical term for it called glissando. She doesn't always slide when she shifts though if u watch and listen.

  • @honkeydonkeyponkey i've stalked all your comments of other video and there is not even video where you've commented nice things about the performer, Be it Chee-yun or anyone else. You must have a hole in the head or something, seriously. At least these people have proven themselves their worth and are now established musicians in the circuit. ANd where are you??where do you stand?????

  • Oh my God, you are so wonderful. i never see such an excellent player like you. It is Amazing!!!! Praise the Lord that He makes such excellent talent.

  • Oh my God, you are so wonderful. i never see such an excellent player like you. It is Amazing!!!! Praise the Lord that He makes such excellent talent.

  • there's nothing wrong in her shifts...

  • Chee-Yun Kim is such a great talent! Can't believe I had the luck to meet her once. She's a very sweet person.

  • This is "WONDERFUL" nice song, beautiful, sweet, relaxing, amazing...

  • Wonderful playing by Chee Yun Kim. Thanks of Docericc for sharing this and thanks to Greg Gibbs (6664818GGG) for leading me to this.

  • I met her briefly last night after her incredibly beautiful performance of Dvorak's violin concerto in Portland. I found her to be warm, accessible, and of course, highly intelligent. You may not believe it but, in person, she is substantially more beautiful than she looks in these videos. Greg Gibbs

  • the journey back in time.... excelente!!!

  • My god,Chee-Yun Kim, you touch my heart!!

    Call me!!!

  • Yes, not only does she have the technique..the nan-pa award from Korea when she was young..and others...and the Julliard training under Delay and others.....but, she also has the grace and such amazing expression of deep emotion on everything she plays. Music is about emotion and she has so much in every note.

  • Very nice, I'm moved by your expressive touch. You are a star !

  • i'm sitting here at night, with laptop in my lap going to bed, and listening to this violinist, my new fav violinist, and thinking, this is etherial at least, and at best, possibly the greatest heart of a violinist colorist in modernity. She is just splendid, and i've fallen in love with her musical genius. Brava.

  • Perfect song... So emotional... Very nice, Very Nice, Very Nice. I hope one day I can play my violin like her...

  • wow beautiful rendition so much emotion. brought tears to my eyes (especially thinking about the movie that the theme comes from while listening!) gorgeous.

  • wow so nice i wish we could play together

  • My grandma's brother died today morning . This music makes me sooth and know that he is Somwhere out there in time and having a blessed and peaceful life with his beautiful wife. I will miss him.

  • True story: I saw her performing, live, on a show in Seoul. There was an audience of about 100 people. They had a question and answer part of it, where anyone could ask her questions. A gentleman stood up, and said he was from a country in Europe, and that he had seen her in concert one time, and then followed her to every single concert or performance. He said he was there at this performance, because he couldn't stop listening to her play the violin. She got nervous & stood there silent.

  • why would she get nervous?I mean wont she be so happy that she has ardent fan????Im her big fan too. She was the one to inspire me to continue learning the violin.

  • she may have thought, as an automatic reaction, that he might be a stalker

  • hahah yes because I think before this video was lost or taken out so I thought of uploading it once again ..thanks to the original owner of this video.

  • hahah you guys downloaded the video and uploaded it again.....hahaha...i did the same thing....
