  • Never ceases. This ending and song always makes me emotional. Yep, shed everytime.

  • love michael j.fox. class act when it comes to craft and delivery of acting without being cocky or capricious!

  • great movie

  • Even all these years I still have a crush on Scott Howard....the eternal underdog

  • 1:47 guy in upper left of screen in maroon shirt has his pants un-zipped and is doing somthing with his hands

  • @ColeFrederick HAHAHAHA WELL SPOTTED

  • If you love the 80's, this is the shit! favorite sports movie ending ever!

  • This is by far one of the most beautiful, haunting and meaningful songs in the world. The piano after the vocals is the best part and really has stayed with me since I was 15 years old in 1985. A very unforgettable song, and there was a lot of meaning in this movie, even though it was dealing with the werewolf. That was just the bridge to deliver the timeless message, and then.....this timeless and rare song from Amy Holland.

  • sweet!!

  • The NBA network is actually showing TEEN WOLF tonight...lol

  • Amazing film just takes me back to my childhood/.....

  • I'm no homo (straight male in my 20's) really liked this song.

  • Thank you very much brett1978 for this video. This last scene summarizes the 80´s way of thinking and live. Greetings from Argentina.

  • I just watched this to see how right before the freeze, there are a couple frames missing. I just learned this from the commentary on The Mother of Invention

  • This version with the piano outro is SO much better than the album version. I dunno why they cut it. :(

  • not a black african american soul to be found on that basketball court. Not even Lemonade or his family members attended this game.

  • go to 1:45 the guy in the back ground got his dick out!!

  • @JoseF96EntertaineR its not his dick it is underwear.

  • can't find this song anywhere not even on itunes...does anyone knows where to find ti?

  • Best part is when the crowd goes nuts. Gives me goose bumps

  • Shoot for the moon. If you miss, your frozen irradiated corpse will drift through space for the remnant of eternity.

  • Anyone know where I can find this song ?

  • @taittersxd i-tunes Amy holland - shooting for the moon...... if your struggling pm me and ill send it you

  • It's in my mind for ever, even if I will be 100 years old, I'll never forget the #1 movie I grew up with!

  • i have forgoten that song and it is so beatiful

  • Something about this ending ... Like there were no ppl in the world only the ones them !

  • I love seeing just how proud his Dad is when he scores the winner. Great stuff.

  • I love the movie the song everything and i'm like 15 soo i just telling not alot of ppl my age aprciate stuff like that

  • Back in the 80's they picked the perfect songs to end the movies. Today they just throw the most popular song on it. I feel bad for people born to late to appreciate the 80's movies you can't watch the crap that comes out now more than once.

  • Rob Lowe recently summarized the difference bw the 80s and today well:

Back then, his sex tape felt like a possible career crisis.

Nowadays, something like that actually boosts an entertainers earning power.

That implies that there is something eff-ed up about our value system right now.

And with all the attacks that have been launched on religion, it has become even harder to instill morality into the youth.

This song symbolizes a less cynical time in history.....

  • I love this song its so happy it puts tears on my eyes and goosebumps on my arms

  • This scene puts instant goosebumps on my arms. Miss the feel good movies of the 80's or the 80's in general. "Crockett's theme till I die boi"

  • .....and dont even get me starting on how quickly his dad stands up at 1:43....

  • I love it that when the frame freezes his dads face is right in his armpit...after a long basket ball game not good.... Good memories of those days of growing up though...

  • I had this recorded and vhs when I was a kid used to watch it time and time again. Maybe its still stored away.

  • agree..the 80's were so awesome - movies and music really meant something and gave you a feel good moment - they still do so many years on :)..this song sits right there with other amazing tracks from Goonies, Karate Kid and The Wraith - totally awesome!

  • agree..the 80's were so awesome - movies and music really meant something and gave you a feel good moment - they still do so many years on :)

  • Even after all this time I still have a crush on Boof.

  • @ColdBloodedBastard I ALWAYS WANTED TO BOOF ....BOOF

  • @ColdBloodedBastard just watched this tonight, Boof's acting roll , she was a sweetheart, and cute, I concur your thoughts...Cheers

  • @ColdBloodedBastard Same here! Never saw what Scott saw in the blonde!

  • The 80's were magical, there will never be another time like the 80's. Sad but true.

  • RIP BM you know who you are, i worked for you for 2 wonderful years and when i saw you walking around with your golden helmet i would smile to myself and hope to catch you eye. even in temperatures of -10 you warmed my heart and thawed my fears, you truly are a bootiful man

  • this reminds of a time when i was 10 or 20 or something and i had got my team to the final of the cake cup cup final cup cake and rory johndong looked me in the eye and was all like "you aint nothing, get ya mits off my girl" and im like "didnt we used to be brothers" and he turned away as a single tear fell from my eyes. i never saw rory again...oh wait there he is over there eating meat on a stick "rory oh rory hay its me RORY rory!!!!! oh it aint rory"

  • I LOVE THIS MOVIE AND SONG. such classics. I can't even tell you how many times i have seen this movie. I get the same feeling watching this scene i did as a kid. just straight chills up and down the spine. talk about inspiring.

  • This song gives me CHILLS.

  • I love this movie and I love the part @ 1:30-1:45!

  • such a beautiful underheard song from a fun movie from the year I graduated high school 1985. The piano instrumental in the end is so beautiful.

  • 1:30 into the clip....Anytime you can pee back on those who peed on you and turn to those who didn't....great, great feeling!!

  • I can’t quite decide if I prefer the sense of tranquillity you get from a song like this or the pumped up feeling that you’re left with after listening to Joe Esposito’s You're The Best Around (Karate Kid) or Eye of the Tiger (Rocky 3). Either way, they’re all great songs and the 80’s surely had some of the best movie soundtracks of my lifetime.

  • "Let's blow out of here!" "DROP DEAD!!!!!"

  • I like at the end when the dude on the bleachers, just behind Scott, has his fly down and has to zip it up...check it out!

  • Scott Howard just won the big game blows off the hot chick for the pretty nerdy girl and live happily ever after, ahhhh, if only life was this easy, or was when you were in school.

  • can't stop replaying this video just to listen to the song again n again

  • Really listen to lyrics of the song! So inspiring!

  • magnificent shot dude

  • great piano solo in thisc one!

  • Thank you very much, I really love this song.

  • Goosebumps. Love it. Takes me back to the good old days.

  • Love the song, a perfect way to end the film...Wasn't Boof gorgeous as well? Good memories from childhood growing up in the 80's. Thanks for adding this.:-)

  • Dear God,

Please give us that old, more innocent, decent America back!

  • Comment removed

  • dude has his dick out.....he is forever immortalized

  • Can we please go back to the 80's? They were such an innocent time for most of us that grew up then and I miss the 80's. The movies, music, and then world in general. Such a simpler and easy going era in our history. That is why I am glad they still play these 80's classics from time to time...we all need to relive them every now and again.

  • @JG24rlzsun i agree 100 percent.

  • @JG24rlzsun I agree with you 100% and I'm not just saying that because I was only 9 when we closed out the 80's and therefore had no real responsibilites. It was a much a simpler time to be alive all over the world. I would say that the world started going down hill somewhere around 1996 to 1998. I long for the 80's and wish we as a world as a whole could relive them as well.

  • @JG24rlzsun This is very true indeed. For a kid in the 80's, as I was, life was pretty sweet. Iconic films, some great TV shows and music and things which were genuinely creative. Things have taken a downhill slide in recent times. I very often wish I could go back as well. Memories that will never fade.

  • @JG24rlzsun I'd go back to the 80s - but only with a hair straightener.

  • @JG24rlzsun Yeah.. for my country that was a lordly time! Because in Italy in the '80s we were protected by two brave judges. That was the greatest battle against the entire Italian organized crime in history..the greatest fight against mafia and a lot of people payed a lot. Today.. it's all gone...

  • At 1:45 why has the bloke in the back ground with the red jumper on got his knob out.

  • glad he picked boof and not that pan faced pam. great song .xx

  • Nice one Amy, awesome scene....brilliant song at credits x

  • i still know every word of this film after all these years,CLASSIC

  • @peewee3030 that would be stupid it would not work. It's all been done before hence the remake. this worked for the eighties it was new fresh different. The hollywood werewolf obsession pretty much died. plus he would most likely be CGI as a werewolf it would be horrible. the last werewolf movie that came out was not that good. and i am saying that as a werewolf lover but if your not a werewolf lover than you would pretty much think it was crap.

  • @Michaelwolf1000 what movie are you referring too?

  • this movie is a classic. and the song is so inspirational. thanks for the upload

  • ha i like how he bums out the superficial tart at the end and makes the right choice she should stick with her own kind like that bloke whos brians r in his sac

  • whats the name of the tune where they are at the house party? anyone??

  • Nothinghumanlovesfor, I would, too! Yes please!

  • Nothinghumanlovesfor, yes I would love a copy of this if u have it, still makes me have tears in my eyes after all these years, why can they not make song this these days!

  • actually its not allowed to jump while shooting free.....

  • this is very moving song to show you can follow your dreams

  • Legend film, i may be a 90's kid but this is a pretty damn good film for the 80's (Y)

  • Does anyone know where I can get this song? I can't find the soundtrack to the movie anywhere and the song isn't on itunes.

  • i have the song if any body wants it

  • 1:47 why has that guy got hes flyes undone?

  • This brings back so many memories of my childhood. I love it. Best song ever!

  • they really need 2 remake this movie

  • @peewee3030 No, they don't :(

  • THIS...Is the best happy ever after ending EVER.

  • I just watched this on HBO.........MAN ! I wish I could go back, I miss those days

  • Love the 80s

  • This song > Lady Gaga Beyonce Alicia Keys etc etc etc.....

  • 80s were magical...

  • @GaloshesInTrouble I agree. The 80's were pure magic. It was the last decade where the purpose of music was to make you feel good or happy. That concept is so lost today!

  • @GaloshesInTrouble I got laid for the 1st time, I got totally smashed for the 1st time, went to my 1st rock concert, really discovered music yes indeed,Magical like you said. Freakin 80's

  • Does anyone have the piano music for this?

  • got this soundtrack on CD on ebay for $60...this one and 'win in the end' are the only two good songs. oh and 'send me an angel' is also on there, why...I dont know.

    I miss the 80s...Im so lonely :(

  • Really enjoyed reading everyones comments on this post, had a good laugh some made me howl, terrible pun! Sorry! Great film, Great song, Great memories! Go Beavers!

  • Michael J. Fox represents the tragedy that happens to youth in high school the lack of acceptance. While this looks like a comedy about personal difference, it's more of a telling commentary on high school and how cruel it can be. One is only accepted through athletic achievement or by a popular clique group. Anyone who likes seeing the good guys triumph and has a soft spot for regular joe's getting the girl and achieving greatness will appreciate this flick.

  • Anyone who thinks high school is tough, should wait until they grow up.

    Life is no pleasant business.

  • How I loved to watch this on my vhs tape. My life sucks now, but I fucking loved my young years.

The 80's had the magic of total suspension of disbelief; wacky stories, total disregard for reality. Today everyone so attached to real it sucks. Reality is pain. Give me some dreams, Hollywood. Some dreams to ease my walk through life.
