This is by far one of the most beautiful, haunting and meaningful songs in the world. The piano after the vocals is the best part and really has stayed with me since I was 15 years old in 1985. A very unforgettable song, and there was a lot of meaning in this movie, even though it was dealing with the werewolf. That was just the bridge to deliver the timeless message, and then.....this timeless and rare song from Amy Holland.
I just watched this to see how right before the freeze, there are a couple frames missing. I just learned this from the commentary on The Mother of Invention

Back in the 80's they picked the perfect songs to end the movies. Today they just throw the most popular song on it. I feel bad for people born to late to appreciate the 80's movies you can't watch the crap that comes out now more than once.
I love it that when the frame freezes his dads face is right in his armpit...after a long basket ball game not good.... Good memories of those days of growing up though...
Wow!!!!! I was looking for Teen Wolf the other day and I almost cried when I seen the movie clips. I thought I was the only person who thought this movie was the best in the 80's. I was in the 7th grade when this movie came out and I loved it then and I still love it now. I got the movie for Christmas I think in "87" and watched it many, many times. The movie inspired me for some odd reason to play hard and be fair in sports and that feeling has stayed with me
Win in the End and Shooting for the Moon were perfect songs for this movie. Every time I see the clip of the last shot and Shooting for the Moon songs comes on it gives me a weird feeling of sadness and joy. The piano playing from 3:20 on is the best. How simple everything was to me back then as a kid and now as an adult how difficult things have become. Thank you Teen Wolf creators, directors, and producers for giving me a movie that will be in my heart always
agree..the 80's were so awesome - movies and music really meant something and gave you a feel good moment - they still do so many years on :)..this song sits right there with other amazing tracks from Goonies, Karate Kid and The Wraith - totally awesome!
RIP BM you know who you are, i worked for you for 2 wonderful years and when i saw you walking around with your golden helmet i would smile to myself and hope to catch you eye. even in temperatures of -10 you warmed my heart and thawed my fears, you truly are a bootiful man
this reminds of a time when i was 10 or 20 or something and i had got my team to the final of the cake cup cup final cup cake and rory johndong looked me in the eye and was all like "you aint nothing, get ya mits off my girl" and im like "didnt we used to be brothers" and he turned away as a single tear fell from my eyes. i never saw rory again...oh wait there he is over there eating meat on a stick "rory oh rory hay its me RORY rory!!!!! oh it aint rory"

I can’t quite decide if I prefer the sense of tranquillity you get from a song like this or the pumped up feeling that you’re left with after listening to Joe Esposito’s You're The Best Around (Karate Kid) or Eye of the Tiger (Rocky 3). Either way, they’re all great songs and the 80’s surely had some of the best movie soundtracks of my lifetime.
Scott Howard just won the big game blows off the hot chick for the pretty nerdy girl and live happily ever after, ahhhh, if only life was this easy, or was when you were in school.
Love the song, a perfect way to end the film...Wasn't Boof gorgeous as well? Good memories from childhood growing up in the 80's. Thanks for adding this.:-)
Can we please go back to the 80's? They were such an innocent time for most of us that grew up then and I miss the 80's. The movies, music, and then world in general. Such a simpler and easy going era in our history. That is why I am glad they still play these 80's classics from time to time...we all need to relive them every now and again.
@JG24rlzsun I agree with you 100% and I'm not just saying that because I was only 9 when we closed out the 80's and therefore had no real responsibilites. It was a much a simpler time to be alive all over the world. I would say that the world started going down hill somewhere around 1996 to 1998. I long for the 80's and wish we as a world as a whole could relive them as well.
@JG24rlzsun This is very true indeed. For a kid in the 80's, as I was, life was pretty sweet. Iconic films, some great TV shows and music and things which were genuinely creative. Things have taken a downhill slide in recent times. I very often wish I could go back as well. Memories that will never fade.
@JG24rlzsun Yeah.. for my country that was a lordly time! Because in Italy in the '80s we were protected by two brave judges. That was the greatest battle against the entire Italian organized crime in history..the greatest fight against mafia and a lot of people payed a lot. Today.. it's all gone...
@peewee3030 that would be stupid it would not work. It's all been done before hence the remake. this worked for the eighties it was new fresh different. The hollywood werewolf obsession pretty much died. plus he would most likely be CGI as a werewolf it would be horrible. the last werewolf movie that came out was not that good. and i am saying that as a werewolf lover but if your not a werewolf lover than you would pretty much think it was crap.

Thanks so much for posting this scene I always liked this movie especially the ending and this very pretty song. I saw this movie in 85 the year I graduated high school.
best part of this song is when she says you never know one day you learned to walk on air!! that is amazing to me!! this song will always have special meaning to me cuase it's the song i listened to with the first girl i ever loved with all that i am! still love her today...
got this soundtrack on CD on ebay for $60...this one and 'win in the end' are the only two good songs. oh and 'send me an angel' is also on there, why...I dont know.
Really enjoyed reading everyones comments on this post, had a good laugh some made me howl, terrible pun! Sorry! Great film, Great song, Great memories! Go Beavers!
Michael J. Fox represents the tragedy that happens to youth in high school the lack of acceptance. While this looks like a comedy about personal difference, it's more of a telling commentary on high school and how cruel it can be. One is only accepted through athletic achievement or by a popular clique group. Anyone who likes seeing the good guys triumph and has a soft spot for regular joe's getting the girl and achieving greatness will appreciate this flick.
How I loved to watch this on my vhs tape. My life sucks now, but I fucking loved my young years.
The 80's had the magic of total suspension of disbelief; wacky stories, total disregard for reality. Today everyone so attached to real it sucks. Reality is pain. Give me some dreams, Hollywood. Some dreams to ease my walk through life.
Never ceases. This ending and song always makes me emotional. Yep, shed everytime.

Rob Lowe recently summarized the difference bw the 80s and today well:
Back then, his sex tape felt like a possible career crisis.
Nowadays, something like that actually boosts an entertainers earning power.
That implies that there is something eff-ed up about our value system right now.
And with all the attacks that have been launched on religion, it has become even harder to instill morality into the youth.
This song symbolizes a less cynical time in history.....

Anyone who thinks high school is tough, should wait until they grow up.
Life is no pleasant business.
