• this is not the voice of miku

  • Everyone of ur vids own =)

  • aww its cuuute, it makes me want a little robot patchouli ^^

  • If there's an MP3 version available of anything I make, the link will be in the video description.

  • Holy beep! This is good! Better than what alot can make and I really like this version! WELL DONE! Where's the invisible ten star rating?! Must...rate...ten....stars...!

  • i love this vid soo much! good job on the lyrics, by the way! What is waffling, by the way? i know it doesn't mean the actual food, but you know, heh heh This version of "Locked Girl" is sooo much better than the regular version. i give it thumbs up!!!

  • It just means that I was continuously talking rubbish or unimportant things to last for the duration of the video. =P

Thanks, I'm glad you like it!

  • I really like your version. The robot voice is cute <3

  • awesome!!^^

  • hahaha! I like your random waffling! :D

  • it sounds really cool robotic like that great job on it and man you are so right 100% about you tube changing all thier videos from the orginal high quality stereo sound to bland boring mono sound its 2008 not 1948 its a shame to cuz stereo sounds so much more superior and unique to mono *sighs* oh well great video and song keep up the good work you got a lot of creavity with music

  • who the hells voice was it then????

    did it was miku???!

    but did she sounded differen??????????????!

    Aaaah

  • Haha, no, it wasn't Miku. ;)

As I said in the video, it was a voice I made with the "Virtual Singer" part of a program called Melody Assistant (by Myriad Software). In my "updated remix" of this song, Miku does the backing vocals.

I just added that updated remix as a video response to this video, since I only just realized that it doesn't even show up as a "related video". =/

  • I had no idea Stephen Hawkings did electro good work LOLOLO!

  • This remix aint bad =D keep up the good work man =D

  • I love the part about if you stop typing. You made the song ever funner and funnier. Lol 5 stars!

  • I love robot voices! It makes the song sound so surreal! You did a wonderful job!! Could you please post the translation of the lyrics? My Japanese is poor...

  • Thanks! ^^

I mdae an updated version of this remix which I uploaded a little later. If you check that video, you can see my pathetic attempts of understanding the Japanese lyrics and translating them. One kind YT member was able to help me out with several lines I was struggling with.

  • so wait iosys are u and ur friends singin and usin to tech to make songs

  • IOSYS are a famous music production group which made a song called "Unlocked Girl ~ The girl who left her secret room".

I heard the song and liked it, so I used a load of synths (including a computer program to make the purposely-electronic-sounding voice) to try to re-make the song from scratch.

No humans are singing and no friends were involved. ;)

  • oh thanks(srry im a slow idiot)

  • Not bad.

  • I need a better computer, you have tons of programs! Which would you recommend for a starter like myself?

  • Haha... you should see how long it takes for my "All Programs" list to fully scroll. ><

Well, please check the credits for the "6-Voice Style" version which I made of this same song, a little while after this version. (I used mainly the same programs, just I forgot to include some of them on the credits in this first version's video, whoops. ><)

Most of them are freeware! The only ones which aren't are MAGIX Music Maker, and Vocaloid (I didn't use Vocaloid in this version anyway).

  • Lolz *dances to the music*

  • YEAAAAAH :D

  • sweetie!

Man, i love your videos! These "japanese-style" geek songs are so great!

  • I noticed you used わたし instead of 私, wouldnt the kanji be more appropriate???

I liked the way you did it though. Blown away! :D

  • Whoops - slip of the... 'space' key. ;P

(I was copying the lyrics from a text file I had found, and for some reason that text file used kanji most of the time, but not for watashi).

I'm pretty sure the kanji form would've been better.

I'd worry more about the hideous translations (lol), thanks though... >_<

Thanks for the kind comment. =)

  • Yeah I did notice that your translation kinda sucked, not too bad though. ^^;

  • Wow, I'm completely blown back by this. I love the voice you used in this, it sounded so great and matched it perfectly.

Also with your on-screen lyrics translation it gave me something fun to read while I listened to this. Also with your translation I got chills at one point at how well you had synced it with this song.

Seriously, fantastic job, thanks for the mp3 link download as well, really appreciate it. ^^

  • Thanks very much for all the kind comments! =D

I tried to make an electronic-sounding voice, since the original has its pitch snapped to the nearest note, sounding 'electronic' too.

    What point gave you chills?

No prob about the MP3, either - I hate the way YT converts things to mono (many other video-sharing sites don't) - I think it makes it sound so lifeless. So I always try to add a higher-quality MP3 link. ;)

  • Heh, it was @ 3:02 just the combination of the BGM and reading your lyrics with the voice you had in there was just really cool. I really liked reading the lyrics along side with the song to. ^^

  • you should make more IOSYS remixes!!!!

    you rock!!!!

  • hehe sugoi .. nice.

  • I liked the shout-outs..Gave me something to read while listening to the song :P

  • you do such wonderful work, I'm so jealous. lol. Really, arigatou. Thank you for sharing.

  • what does IMO mean :D

  • "In My Opinion". ;)

  • are you Japanese mate ? By the way, You are Just Genious mate.. saw that other musical video with windows sound you created. it was just awesome !!I love your videos mate

  • Thanks very much. =)

No, I'm not Japanese. I was born in and am living in the England (UK). I'd love to at least visit Japan some time though. I'm gradually learning Japanese via books/e-books, random anime, translation software, J-E dictionaries, etc. Also since I listen to a lot of Japanese music, I'm gradually finding it easier to pick out the lyrics. However, I had an already-made text file of the lyrics for this song, so I was spoilt. ;P

  • So you english? I though you were from Japan... ha! this is the kind of things japanese techie geek guys do... and I love that kind of work.

  • Nice!!! Love your comments :D

  • That's cool. :) Was it easy to make this?

  • Thanks. It wasn't east at first - the MIDI-making. I rendered each MIDI track to 1 or more WAVs (with many VST synths), and I completely scratched the percussion in the MIDI, which sounded like the original, and made a more 'techno' version. (Because when I started the MIDI, I didn't know I was going to make a remix). BTW I'm finishing making an updated version to be released later tonight or tomorrow. ;)

  • Cool. Can't wait for it then. ;)

  • それは素晴らしい!

Thank you so much for this. It's sound so nice.

I just downloaded the program so if I have some questions I'll let you know. Your efforts are well appreciated!!!

  • 嬉しいです!

Thanks for the kind comment. (^^) I'm glad you like it.

I realize I forgot to add the backing voice though (during choruses). T_T

I might release an updated version with a different main voice, plus a backing voice.

  • That'd be really sweet.

  • OMG! It's the Kirbz0rz! O_o;

  • That was awesome! Whenever I hear the song without seeing the English lyrics, I think of clams/oysters, and whenever I read the English lyrics, I think of the afternoon when the sky is like, orange and stuff. Yeah. Also, the comments are also awesome. I said "also" twice.

  • Thanks! :D

Haha, I remember reading in your blog about how you had it looping for about an hour while you were watching some documentary about oysters. Now they're associated in your head...
