  • wow that sounds awesome, i cant get that sound with my drum dial

  • How is that possible? That's incredible.

  • amazing range on that drum

  • You guys totally know what you are doing with drums. That tiny mistake with the whole not tuning one of the rods does not inspire any doubt about your ability to make the best sounding drums in the entire world.

  • cool

  • Thx,I had allot of trouble trying to tune my toms but know they sound good (not exactly the same )

  • if this make is so good for tuning, why isnt pearl, tama, dw doing all this aha

  • @zachthemusefan Because Don Sleishman patented the rights to this system in the 70's. You'll notice the Pearl "free floating" snares are not quite free floating as compared to Sleishman Drums.

  • @zachthemusefan because pearl/tama/dw are doing the same thing they have been since the 80's

  • Tune my drums please!

  • I can never get my toms to sound like that!!

  • wow, thats a great sounding drum!

  • It's a pity that David doesn't tell us which model Sleishman kit this is - Custom or Omega. Sounds great but so it should if it is the custom kit. Come on be honest about which kit this is. I am looking at buying an Omeha Fusion but need honesty about quality of sound and build. If this is a custom kit it should sound great for about $7000 or more.

  • @allaboutdetecting This is an Omega 10" tom, not a custom.

  • I am now an owner of these drums and they sound absolutely amazing! watch my video taken with a zoom Q3HD and no added effects. Cheers!

  • this is really a useful contraption

  • For £1,297?

    That's a bargain.

  • I am about 99% sure I am going to buy a sleishman omega kit... being that the top an bottom heads have even tension... would a head combo like single ply over single ply be even more resonant? just curious if you would ever consider a demo of this and maybe doing a demo on just the bass drum since it is such a huge part of the kit and I don't see any demo's here on youtube. great product though!

  • I love the Uploader comments because the criticizing guys are so serious and the uploader is so sarcastic LOL

  • That sounds like sex.

  • Now if only i could get my Pearl Exports to sound that good LOL

  • You make tuning look easy

  • ear gasm... thats a beauty..

  • Evans G2 are soooooo nice

  • What skin is on that drum??

  • @fordshop11 Evans G2 im pretty sure.

  • @fordshop11 Evans G2, 100% sure

  • Man! sounds like an 18" floor tom!!!

  • @SimonJamesMcClure Can you imagine what the floor tom sounds like....KA-BOOM!

  • this is a rarity... a YouTube title that the video actually lives up to! very nice

  • i like the sound flapping the best ever time in record sound.that it is pue sound flat...to me in certain condition songs...

  • If the free-floating system worked so much better than regular lugs they would have been applied to all new drums...go out and buy a Sonor.

  • @PhaetonFireFox03 Once again, Don Sleishman patented this system in the 70's. That's why other companies cant use it, the closest is RIMS mounts and the like.

  • That's pretty incredible. Well done, Sleishman!

  • nice

  • man you can tell this dude is aussie!!!

  • the snare drum sounds exactly like a death metal bass drum. wtf is so special about it?

  • @SnoWkidDude Errr.. there is neither a snare drum or a bass drum being played in this video, only a 10" tom.

  • @SnoWkidDude LOL

  • @SnoWkidDude hahaha idiot...

  • @SnoWkidDude haha hahahahaha fail of a comment

  • @SnoWkidDude Dude...how baked are you?

  • @SnoWkidDude fail

  • it doesnt sound as incredible as he thinks it does.. to me anyway

  • @sonofnothing try headphones it sounds better

  • @sonofnothing Different strokes for different folks. As far as I can tell, those are the best drums I've ever heard.

  • Wasn't impressed... until I realized it was a 10"!

  • what an incorect way to tun your drums.. ha so un even you didnt even touch one of the rods

  • @beeftothetaco123 - As per the description in the title....

  • @RockyhouseMedia Even more kick-ass that it sounds so good then.... I want these....

  • @beeftothetaco123 I've noticed that "Guys like you" that are ALWAYS looking for a way to run others down, not only have a self esteem problem, but you probably could play a gig if your life depended on it.The Man wrote in his description that the mic was inhibiting him from getting to the last lug.GET A LIFE!!!

  • @beeftothetaco123 makes it even more impressive no? he only tuned 5 but it still sounds good lol

  • @beeftothetaco123 it still sounds perfectly tuned does'nt it??

  • @beeftothetaco123 there is no incorrect way to tune your, drums, I use the exact same method as him

  • You do realize that he skips a lug every time, its the one closest to the mic

  • that was impressive

  • im actually impressed.....

  • if im rich this sleishman drums will be recording drums :p

  • yep!!! gooooood

  • @etownexecutioner Great one..

  • Nice, but no doubt way too expensive for the average drummer.

  • @Eiderwine Hi Eiderwine, not at all - this is the new midrange pricepoint kit from Sleishman. The OMEGA series - made for drummers who want a pro kit at a mid price. I use one and they're as good as my custom kit. Cheers, Jack

  • dude it just looked like he tuned 5 out of 6 rods? isnt there a 6th?? those rods dont seem to be in a star formation more like a hex...

  • @phtheph

That's the unique tuning system. Every turn of every lug tunes the entire drum, top and bottom!

  • interesting demo ... nice drum .... correct me if i am wrong but there is on lug on the drum you never touch ... the lug at 1 o`clock ... why is that

  • @MrHatSpeaks Watch the other videos on sleaishman drums to see how they work, you'll see that the ring near the bottom of the drum distributes the tesnion evenly.

  • so you make us watch you tune it up, then you make us watch you tune it back down just for the hell of it? what a douchebag

  • @MrHatSpeaks How are you being "made" to watch anything? It's youtube, dont like it, dont watch it. He is simply demonstrating the swet spot across the entire tuning range.

  • @RockyhouseMedia I beleieve he ment that he was waiting for the part when he showed us something useful...

  • @MrHatSpeaks lol your supossed to tune that way anyways

  • @MrHatSpeaks are you retarded?

  • @MrHatSpeaks I NOE RIGHT

  • Too bad these drums arent available in guitar center

  • What is the starting song?...

  • That is truly amazing, I have just spent all day today tuning my Mapex-Mars Pro with Evans G2's and while I was reasonably happy with the end result I had to try many different combinations of tension, damping etc to get there, BUT this is absolutely amazing! hard to believe it is possible to get such a beautiful range of tone out of a 10" tom AND just using 5 tension rods!! Absolutely stunning, I want one & I'm gonna get one, saving my pennies now. Typical Oz ingenuity! You Little Beauty!!

  • @nigelregan Hi Nigelregan - glad you like the drums, yes they are incredible, particularly on a gig or in the studio when you need to pull a sound or pitch quickly, you simply go up or down without the ringing or flapping you get from other drums. I would suggest the Omega series, great drums at a great price.

  • only the mic is making that sound..

  • @jamillano Mics record sounds, they do NOT make them :)

  • is this the omega series?

  • nice sounding kit. but doesnt matter what kind of kit BECAUSE ALL DRUM KITS TODAY HAVE REALLY SMALL TOMS AND THERES JUST NO NICE NATURAL AMBIENCE FROM THEM. frustrates me. maybe just my taste? idk....

  • If these drums truly sound like that, I will sell my car to get a set. Check out the Omega Series Video. Blew me away!

  • holy. shit.

  • these sound amazing!

  • Page Drums utilizes the same idea but with cables outside of the shell and no screws drilled into the shells.Check out Jovol Bell talk about this drums.

  • waaaaait a minute....so the bottom head gets tuned from the lug on the top head...meaning even rod tension on both sides at all times?...meaning no more drum dial related headaches?....im buying this.

  • Whats the song from 0.00-0.05???

  • READ THE UPLOADERS' COMMENTS PEOPLE! he says one of the lugs was covered by the mic clamp.

  • Truth Custom drums.... nuff said

  • the idea of this is freakin genius

  • THERES 6 LUGS HE ONLY TUNED 5

  • Are you equalizing the sound from the drum microphone, or is that the raw sound?

  • argghhh mom!! Midget tom shocked me..

  • OH WOW, that sounds like a floor tom when you tune it back down

  • And oh, God, that technique is atrocious.

  • This guy is an idiot. At least when it comes to tuning. Hitting the center of the drum, randomly torquing the lugs, and COMPLETELY missing one of the lugs...

Twin Pedal $249.00 Call Marcus Vee in LA, CA on 786-9223 / 323 652-2544

  • Wow, I am truly amazed, not only do the duel tension rods actualy work really well but to get so much bottom end and tone out of a 12" drum, where the head is barely on, is unbelievable. Bravo.

  • @mikeweaver82 It's a 10" not a 12" - even more amazing still, is the fact that in this entire demonstration he's only tuning 5 of the 6 tuning rods (the 6ths is underneath the mic clamp). Any normal drum would simply not respond if you neglected a tension rod the entire way up or down like that.

  • @RockyhouseMedia - and I thought that these drums had impressed me enough... so thats a 10" an he isn't even keeping an even tension around the drum? and they still sound that good? Wow, please keep me informed as to when these drums become readily available within the UK without the cost of importing, I think it's time to sell my Tama.

  • Ahhhhhhhhh sleishman drums sound like no other, the only other drum that has such a nutural full open sound are Brady drums..both are amazing .

  • i wonder what would it sound.. with just the drumhead over it...without a counter hoop

  • I would buy these from E bay. But they are made in China.

You have 2 personally order them from down under..

To get the Australian made drums. I have heard good

things about the set's made in China. Still the incredible

sound that only Sleishman drums offer.

  • @jblcva Hey there, glad you like the Sleishman system! Just to clarify you dont have to order Sleishman drums from Australia, there are now distributorships in the USA and UK (and I think Europe also) - where abouts are you?

  • @RockyhouseMedia Sitting on a vintage set of Rogers Holidays.

4 piece. Complete minus Bass Pedal. I am in Va.

  • click on the stockists link at the sleishman com website for a full list of all the stores in USA where you can order Sleishman drums

  • Hands down, the best sounding drums i have ever heard.

  • i played a set today. UN-REALLLLL!! i've had dw...sonor...tama. NOT EVEN CLOSE!

  • @verveshawn there's no turning back my friend! i first played them when I endorsed another brand and just new i had to switch! the thing is until now they've only been available in Aus, but slowly ppl are hearing them over seas and understanding what the rave is about. glad you liked them.

  • @RockyhouseMedia we tried to make them sound "bad"?..lol. no way. they sang at any tension. i'm buying

    !

  • both top and bottom tune at the same time?

  • This is f*cking awesome!!!!

  • why is he not tuning the lug near the mic?

  • @Jesse4ManBob I thought the same thing. If you read the tuning tips on the Sleishman site they say to achieve a pitch bend effect to detune one lug. He doesn't touch that one lug to achieve the pitch bend.

  • @Jesse4ManBob That's really bothering me

  • O.O that blew my mind

  • Extremely impressive to get that much bottom end out of such a small tom.
