What is in this video right there changed history, you can make love your apple products all you want, but IBM's decision to make it's second personnal computer's achitecture accessible is a big part of the dream to have computers affordable and accessible to the masses.
The other great contribtor to this is not even mentionned in the documentary? Commodore, by offering superior gear for ridiculous low price.
Apple is important, but for me it comes third in terms of overall impact.

Erh... All operating systems are boring; It's what you do with them that can be fun.
I have done a lot of funny things with a lot of boring operating systems. With *nix i personally fealt the most at home.
