I bought an 06 crf450x for 2500. Just gotta look at what your buying. Make sure its not hammered. get a good deal on a use bike. You save so much. The 230 is awful short.

@jacobniece definitely. considering what other bikes can cost, it isn't that pricey, it is EXTREMELY reliable, I live in michigan and i pound the piss out of my bike, i've never even had a problem with it. good speed, it's a camel as far as gas goes, and almost as fast as a 250. me and my buddy raced his 250f against my 230f and in a half mile stretch, he beat me by give or take a second. not that bad considering he payed 8500 for his, i payed 4000 for mine. so yea, definitely a great bike!

im 5'11, 210Lbs, i have little to no experiance on a dirtbike, but have been driving Trikes for a while, i currently own a 250SX. but i want to get into dirtbikeing, and this 230 is 2grand, anyone recommend or not?

@snoop6604 the crf230f is a great reliable bike i got mine for easter this year and i have loved it mine is at 2007 and ive had it in mud above the back tire and have tride to ride through 3 ft of snow but the snow dint work very well i got sent over the handle bar in second gear and snow was touching my front fender i would recomend it to every one i no but im only 12 but im 5,10 and 140lb so i like it

i just piked my crf 230f up and its pretty nice. i just really wish it had a kickstart instead of electric start since the elec. start is heavier and the kickstart is cooler/ more fun

6.3 is far too big for a crf230 or a ttr230, get a crf250 if you wanna ride like a girl, otherwise just do it proper and get a CRF450

Yamaha TTR 230cc is a great bike as well as a Honda CRF 230cc.

ive heard the yamahas have starting problems where as honda it starts every time no matter what

the yamaha has a higher max speed but the honda has more low end torque
