Thanks jkircher314. I love Offenbach's Gaité Parisienne and this film is everything I want right now. What's this thing about a set with 2 versions of The Maltese Falcon ? What business does that have to do with Gaité Parisienne and The Ballets Russes? I want the video. Do you know how I can get it ? Thanks.

Thank you so much for this wonderful video. Andre Eglevsky was my teacher from 1961-1968 and I was thrilled to watch him dance. The only other video I have seen of him was on the Ed Sullivan show. This is such a treat! This is what YouTube is all about. I can't wait to show it to my 89 yr. old mom, who took me to dance classes everyday and was a big fan of Andre.

It was in a set with two versions of The Maltese Falcon. Hard to locate if you just look for The Gay Parisian. Search for a set with The Maltese Falcon.

I'm really happy you liked it. I've posted some other videos with dancers connected with the Ballet Russe - David Lichine, in Spring Night, was married to one of the Baby Ballerinas, choreographed and danced with BR.

Nini Theilade, who was featured in the BR documentary, is in a video in which she is seen dancing in that film.

Rosella Hightower danced with the BR. Fokine's choreography for Prince Igor was part of Diaghilev's Paris debut.
