I love Futurama and the Simpsons, but as a complete series I definately consider Futurama better. The Simpsons isn't the same anymore. Too long has Matt Groening let the integrity of the Simpsons go to shit all for the sake of more money; bad seasons aside there's virtually no product out there that hasn't been endorsed or branded by the Simpsons. maybe now they are but the the four season were released as five separate seasons at some stage in the past. Probably a decision made by Fox when it had low ratings. That *is* the reason why people are a little confused about the number of seasons.

I guess Groening and Cohen told Fox to fix it when they started getting some sales from the new films.

But I agree since they split up the films into episodes it makes sense to refer to them as season 5. I definitely prefer it this way. ;)
