Eeyore's Birthday Party 2007

I have missed some years of going, but went to my first Eeyore's in 1970. If you haven't ever made one try to come this April. Clothes are mostly optional and you can smoke weed without the cops giving any trouble. Around the drum circle it's like Golden Gate Park in 67. Austin is like a different world than the rest of Texas as long as your in central Austin. Yuppie scum has taken over many other areas of the city, and crime in North Austin. Central has everything you would want.

No other experience comes close to Eeyore's. This video cover a lot, but can't capture the reality of being there. Thanks for the footage! As I advertise it to those who are in Austin, but have never been, it's the best party in Austin all year long bar none, and it just gets better every year! I don't know if there's anything in this country that could come close to being as awesome and life enriching.

I lived in Austin from SXSW 03-06 and Eeyore's Birfday was awesome. Like living through the Summer of Love with the Diggers in just a few hours. It was also my first TRIP in years and a good one at that.

Haha! Welcome to Austin! April is now only a few weeks away again! Don't forget the last Saturday in April, Pease Park is where you want to be! You can check the page Eeyores Birthday Patry org for updates that morning if it partially rains the day or night before. Around 6 or 8 o'clock in the morning Martin Sexton or somebody will check to let us know if the ground is too soft and we have to reschedule for the following Saturday or if everything's groovy then the party is on.
