  • this is the depressing version of the song >.< lol

  • No hate, but this just doesn't work.

  • Great lyrics from a very young Jagger (22?). But the Stones were simply too young on the original recording. Arno did a wonderfull job bring this Valium song on a sensitive and mature way. One of the best covers, brilliant.

  • thats a spicy meatball!!

  • yeeeaaaaahhhhhhhhh

  • il ouvre ses yeux a un moment?

  • lol dude on piano looks like don vito

  • just love it

  • no me gusta.

  • interesting take...very original

  • Clearly, Stones version > this version.

What the fuck do ppl listen to depressing music like this for.

  • Great, I've been there Arno, my chicken father, both seeing how she sufferd, not knowing where or who she was, I couldn't see her dying from food she didn't got anymore (thats the way we kill our olds for suicide is forbidden, what a great world we live in (the nazi's couldn't kill her, and the docters extended it till she could take it anymore)

  • Bravo.

    Bravo tout simplement

    Bravo Arno...

    Larmes aux yeus.

    Merci Dama

  • OMG I think this dude had one to many mother's little helper...he he he !!

  • @dizzyvk Hahahaha!! Probably

  • He thinks, lives what he sings , it's not to do an other cover more.

For that, francophone songs are good!!!

    From France

  • @kriminalpogo .............

  • Never heard & seen a better Arno !!

  • the singer is drunk.

  • no, he stutters when he doesn't sing, it's his personnality, I know him well

  • mmm... and after a few glasses of whiskey he stops stuttering? i see.

Very great version of this old Rolling Stones song

  • Tom Waits got his field and stream mags with his Lucky TIger and Bay Rum stolen by Jimmy The Lock, but you don't hear him complaining. He got right up and majored in chicken and wine, with a minor in typewriter.

  • he put his own spin to it...I like it!

  • Arno Rules!

if you dont like its ok

    only get out of here!!

  • no one does this better

  • Frissons! Il n'y a rien d'autre à dire!

  • At KarlPaterman: Arno is a great man and he deserves lots of respect. He has got more feeling in his pink than you in your whole body. You can't reach up to his ankles. Go listen to Britney Spears, that's more your style

  • i need my pills now !!!!! :-p

Beautiful voice and idea but.... it seriously drags a "little"/

  • everybody who doesnt like this should check TC Matic, arno, charles et les lulus.

He is a great singer/songwriter, works with the best musicians, is respected all over the world, show him some respsct>

  • I think it rocks.

  • To ALL people who don't know about Arno OR Tom Waits and talking shit about this cover : go play in a cement mixer!

  • a Genius !!

  • This cover is incredible. The song just grew and unfolded because of it. Phenomenal video, thanks for uploading.

  • what you all are talking about this is beautiful c´mon people c´mon

  • he's drunk or what ?!

  • Best version ever! Arno RULEZ !

  • That guy sings like cut glass

  • really spend couple of years to find this song and to find it by arno!!! Sometimes a cover is much better than the "real stuff"!! This is, for me, one of them.

  • Right the fuck on, bro.

  • hes had one to many of them yellow pills and probly others

  • yep I would expect that from a >let me guess, englishman? when you don't know him at all and you get Arno raw "in your face"i understand your comment.

Bare with us( belguim and holland love this guy) think ehm, Tom waits, (if you don't like him to donnot read any further) look up :Arno, Les yeus de ma mere.

  • 'guess', or look on my profile? I lv some 'raw in your face' music. I dont like that cover coz he's tryin 2 make the song deep * impassioned without really conveying any great meaning or emotion. The Stones version's great. There was fun & lyrical pertinence. To me, this is a guy with a worn voice (without the charm of Wait's) who is forcing out some psuedo-meaningful 'interpretation' of a great song. People who like this like the idea of the passion of the song, but there isnt really any there!

  • is "take that" some raw in your face music?!

anyhow not here to spit on your musical tastes. the dutch guy (moe17moe) is right Arno wrote loads of songs in french (though french is not his language) and "les yeux de ma mère" is one of the best. have a look.

when he does covers you find all the usual covers' issues..

i have terrible news for you i think i heard he was about to do an album of covers :(

  • no, Take That are possibly the shittiest group of the last 20 years. They're in my 'favorites' for that reason, they're so so so so so so so so shit they're entertaining (when high).

I listened to Les Yeux De Ma Mere, i've got to say, it's not something i like.

  • no worries as i said i don't plan to go on youtube to shit on other people's taste.

glad you enjoyed "the eyes of my mother"

  • So true mate! wtf is this? Sounds like a cross between Joe Cocker/Shane Mcgowan and a dying duck!!!!

  • Interresting discussion but i'll have to agree with Johanneland. Arno is well respected trough out the world and with 'Dans les yeux de ma mère' he has written the best chançon since 'une belle histoire'. You say he brings this song with too much passion, but that's just because he's a sensative guy. In fact, everyday lyrics is what Arno is all about. Another great cover he brought us is 'knowing me, knowing you'. Arno easily matches other great performers as Waits, Cohen and Johnny Cash!

  • @brutalebeer ya but maybe the only one who can overwehlm them... sommetimes.... i wonder... it s puzzling...

  • This is really BS

  • que c'est beau. meilleur encore que l'original des stones. j'adore;

    son interprétation est magnifique.

  • Il me fais pensé a Mr. Serge Gainsbourg.

  • I would also like a version of Sister Morphine.Say maybe next tour?

  • Honestly I think this is like Tom Waits doing a Stones classic. And that is not exactly a bad thing.Good job, brother.

  • No offence I think that it is over dramatic....

  • who is this guy tryin to be? takes a song that's supposed to b a little odd, and tries (and fails horribly) to make it into some kind of deep, touching, emotional song. then he sings it like someone gargling rocks. lol

  • I don't think you get this man. i don't think you get Arno at all. Don't talk about things you don't understand. He is a great musician, and there's nothing your opinion can change about that. His recorded version is better though.

  • yeah, m'kay

  • this guys my hero!!!!!

  • No offence but it looks and sounds like he's about to collaps

  • ahhhh..... try it in French..Please. no disrespect i love French.

  • JAJA ARNO IS ZWIENEWILDBEREDEMAX.

  • hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

    this sucks

  • seriously sucks things beyond belief. it sucks suckiness that's oozing from its suck-tastic suckishness.

  • He had more than mothers little helper.

  • This version is really better than the original ...

    Arno feel what he sing...

This song succeeds in expressing a lot of emotions ... unlike its first version ...

  • are you serious? This is a good version but its a bit over dramatic and drawn out. The original is much more interesting musically with its driving groove and jagger's sinister vocals. But I do like this version too, interesting just nothing to compare to the original.

  • it doesn't express emotion, because it's not supposed to. he made a fun song depressing

  • this is so bad...

  • Soms is het niet erg om oud te worden; it1s not a drag getting old!!!! Arno, ga zo door!!!!

  • arno rulzzz

  • terrible!!! to sing this great Stones song so badly is very difficult!!!

  • nothing against arno ehj? arno hintjes is the best, TC MATIC ruleert vo dust

  • what the fuck are you talking about? *

    Choke in it fuckup

  • arno <3 keep going !!!! zuk skoowne poepe vor de politiek XD ( zomer 2007 )

    !!! GORKI !!!

  • Hey Bonecity! Arno is from Belgium, & u know, some of them speak french , others speak dutch ( see commentaries)...... ***** for me, pour mezigue ( sorry don't know to say it in dutch)

  • muziek, dus.

  • I liked this verision, but the poor thing of this video is showing the man who is the songmaster is a realy drugmate.

  • this has had to be the WORST version of this song i hope never to here again... fucked-up a perfectly great song n turned it into shit!

  • hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah oh yeah and hahahahahahahaha ha! HA! HA!

  • Why are all the comments in French? Hmmm, just no English.

  • that fucking sux man,

  • A Tom Waitts cover artist?

  • lIKE THIS VERSION OF MOTHER'S HELPER BY STONES.

    A Poil Com-mercial. Merci Arno.

    Gilou.
