Why are people acting like he was choosing between double fudge brownies and Angela? He was choosing between the Christmas party Pam and Karen were throwing and the Christmas party Angela was throwing. He was determining whether the double fudge brownies Angela made are worth having to be around Angela for the next 2 hours or so.

Um...like most Office clips on Youtube, I think people are mis-interpreting this one. He is debating whether to go precisely because he DOES NOT want to be around Angela; which is in conflict for his love of double fudge brownies.
