i wanted these for about a year until a month before they came out and i started seeing them on feet of lames like drake and wiz khalifa and something about them turned me off

and considering i have the dmp raptors i felt like they looked a little bit too much alike.

with all that said ill probably end up getting a pair later lol.

I just ordered mine, online. I like them and I'm not criticizing them, but I don't understand why Jordan has to change them up, at all? Like taking the green out of the tongue and subtle color changes on the rest of the shoe. Could someone seriously answer my question.

@JohnFO5 JB changes them up because they can...people would buy this shoe no matter what. Plus, by making them slightly different than the OG's, it'll keep the owner's of the OG's happy. After all, if you had an original DS pair, wouldn't you want your old school kicks to be different than the retro release? One thing that I like about the 7's is that they never had "Nike" anywhere on the shoe except for the insole, so a retro looks almost like an OG. You can't say that for an AJ III or IV, etc.

@osuswoosh Yeah, I can see what you're saying about original OG owners being happy about having a different shoe. I'd like that as well if I had a pair of originals. I just kind of see it as going in and "touching up" the "Mona Lisa", if you will. The OG VII's were just perfect, and to me, didn't need any changes. But, it didn't bother me too bad, considering I bought two pairs, ha. I've just always wondered why they changed up his retros, I didn't know if it was due to a legal issue w/Nike.

i don't think the tongue is the same, i think it's just your pair. cuz i've seen other reviews where the tongues were different. and the "grey" on the back looks more forest green than anything. anyways, cool early vid =P

i remember the og ones use to have a real soft gray suede (kinda fuzzy) that use to change shades of gray when you would run your fingers through them. the gray "suede" on these looks a bit different. anyone remember what im talking about?
