They are simply trying to reinforce the polled apprehension some voters have about his background, allegiance, and citizenship. They could ask questions like under what circumstances would he side with Uganda/Iraq/Lybia/whatever against the USA. Do it enough and some people start wondering there is an issue with that. The problem is not that he doesn't wear it. The problem is he said he refuses to wear it. Obama did make the statement "I will not wear one of those pins". Clearly a big difference. It's funny how Obama said he stopped wearing the flag pin after 9/11. Which happens to be the same exact time Reverend Wright gave his "God Damn America" sermon.
