I was so afraid that when Tait took the Helm Newsboys would plunge ...but it appears they've taught him a thing or two about song-writing and, like dc Talk, the integration of Tait's songwriting style with that of others seems to produce phenomenal music. I must be one of the last to find out, but I've just read that Michael Tait is now the lead singer. Does this mean Peter Furler has left the band ? I rate Michael highly, but I can't imagine him singing my favourite Newsboys songs, it just won't sound right. Perhaps DC Talk can get together and have Peter Furler as their lead vocalist ?

i went to mexico on a missions trip wit my church, we helped out at an orphanage vacation bible school camp outside of Ensenada, a few hours drive south of Tijuana. ive seen first hand the poverty down there. it is heart breaking to c. if u have any heart at all help make a difference somehow in the lives of anyone who is poor and oppressed. This is the first Newsboys release I've truly enjoyed in several years. I felt that from Love Liberty Disco on they kind of lost their edge. Perhaps I've missed something; I admit I haven't listened to an entire album since I think Thrive, but it's all been the same shallow worship music I hear all the time on mainstream Christian radio. It's refreshing to hear something a little truer to their Take Me to Your Leader days - still my favorite album of theirs.
