I think the most potentt part of this film (for me anyway) was where Eli pulled Oskar to the surface in the pool. The initial look in her eyes was 'I own you' but then softens to 'I love you'. Scary!

I think the the American remake did it justice. The police story line added to the plot. the Original was the better though.

This is the best tribute video I have seen for this movie! You really caught the beauty of  Oskar's & Eli's friendship and this video made me cry, you did an awesome job and I absolutley LOVE this movie.

This is by far THEE most touching story ever. Lina Leandersson (this was her first role) did a phenominal job as Eli. Much better than Chloe [what's her name] from the American remake, Let Me In. Lina's subtle but powerful facial expressions and gestures perfectly painted Eli's pain, loneliness, and deep love like no one else could.

I was looking to rent a movie online and caught the trailer to this. I rented it and it ended up as one of my favorite movies of all time. It's listed under the genre of horror, but in all honesty it is really a drama/romance.

Eli gently tracing the arm of Oskar at 1:07 is one of the most, if not the most, romantic bed scene in any movie ever, in my humble opinion.

In case anyone doesn't know, when the dvd was first released Magnet tried to cut corners by not doing a proper language translation, a lot of the dialogue is totally off. They re-released it not long after with a "English-THEATRICAL" subtitle track. It really makes a difference. One example,when Eli and Oskar are using morse code for the first time through the wall,before it said "Vee..Ohhh, Ahhh" or somethin like that, but in the correct track it says "S..W..E..E..E..T D...R........"
