Hey there buddy i have benn watching all ur vids up till now and theres a BIG problem i rann in to i cannt plant seed i have the location and the plot build i press Q and it says No seeds available for this location so i thought i had no seeds so when the traiding caravan came i bought plump heads n i got plump head spawns but i still cant plant same msg apears can u please help me out my dwarfs always starve

I have a problem. In my fortress there is only silty clay and i cant find any stone or gems. I cant make thing from stone. I want to go deeper maybe i can find some stone but i cant, because i cant make stone stairs! What should i do now?

I have a problem in my fortress... i already have 2 worlds with only ice and i don't know how to melt it and now in my 3rd world i have water but the dwarfs are still dieing from thirst. What am i doing wrong? pleas help

@draakjepet In newer versions there is guaranteed water in the caves if you dig deep enough down, and that should always be drinkable.

It depends, usually traders will always show up. Have you built a trade depot? Even without one they should still show up with a message that they cant unload.

Also is autumn actually over? They don't come at the start of autumn, they come some time during autumn. If its winter and they still haven't showed, then you'll have to wait a while.

@Varanze Look on the wiki for irrigation techniques. The simplest, I'd say, is controlled flooding.

@D4rkSh4d0ww there are gems at every fortress. Just dig around more and you'll find em. Start some mining projects like i did in the later vids.

I am so annoyed.

I set my dwarf to have the arcetecture skill, thats ALL nothing else. But all he does is put things in barrels. WTF!? He is not set to put anything in anything so why the hell is he puting random things in barrels!?

There are a number of labors which are enabled for all Dwarves at the start. These are things like "hauling" and "garbage disposal". If you want your Dwarf to only do Architecty things, disable all these in the labor menu.

Step 2: Encrust goods with gems.

Excellent videos, I have now managed to construct my own fortress thanks too these vids. Although it ended in a mess when I accidentally mined through the side wall of the river and flooded my fortress lol. Only wanted too wet my farms hehe.
