The LATE 90's, I ment to say. In fact, they hadn't done a major streamlining of their body styles unitl recently. There are a few commercial models that still harken back to the late 80's era.

The UK Panasonics had a much more modern look for their time. The ones we have here in the US were angular and more bulky till around the the 90's.
my grandad had a great panasonic tv not like the lcd ones today
