I must say that I'm not a hue fan of pop music, but yesterday I tried to listen some old Gaga's songs and I can't, because they sounded really bad. But then I started to listen «Holiday», «Physical Atraction», «Vogue», «Bad Girl», «Ray of Light», «Hollywood», «Hung Up» ou «Forbidden Love» and they sound GREAT. Only few artists had this talent to make timeless hits, and they were MJ, Prince, Madonna, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, David Bowie or Nirvana. What is Gaga next to them?

While admittedly I do love Gaga, Madonna, in my opinion at least, is still the ultimate QUEEN of Pop. Confessions is still one of my favourite albums ever! Forbidden Love and How High are probably my favourite songs from it. It is one of those albums where continuously good songs flow, one right after the other (cross fade effect was genius). But there's just something about Lady Gaga that is more free and crazy and more accepting and I love her more. And I think Gaga's music is usually different, sometimes similliar but rarely (in only a few songs like BTW) but just as good as Madonna's.

Sure it only sold 5 million copies, but it was during her most provocative and bad-ass. The lyrics were so beautifully written and Shep did such an amazing job producing. @1asheler Yeah, Erotica is very underrated. My favourite is probably Ray of Light, that album still sounds as fresh as it did the day it came out. I love them all tbh, and yeah M's writing skills are always over-looked. I think her best songs are Like a Prayer, Frozen and Don't Tell Me. But it's hard to choose one, as she has so many iconic tracks. What do you think her peak song was? Music and Ray of Light are amazing as well, so much energy in those songs!

Forbidden Love has this beautiful spacey, futuristic seduction about it...It reminds me of the music from the movie Labyrinth with David Bowie and Jennifer Connelly. I LOVED THAT MOVIE! and the music is just amazing. In fact, David Bowie was Madonna's first concert when she was 15.

Lady Gaga turns to Madonna and other artists for inspiration, but what makes you think Madonna doesn't? Does the surname “Monroe” tell you anything by chance? Honestly, I'm not too educated in Madonna's influences, but to provide an example, I heard that the music video for “Erotica” was inspired by Kenneth Anger's “Fireworks.”

I LOVE YOU MADONNA!!! Confessions On A Dance Floor is my favorite Madonna album, tied with Ray of Light. Erotica and American Life too...hell, ALL of her albums are my favorite.
Forbidden Love has this beautiful spacey, futuristic seduction about it...It reminds me of the music from the movie Labyrinth with David Bowie and Jennifer Connelly. I LOVED THAT MOVIE! and the music is just amazing. In fact, David Bowie was Madonna's first concert when she was 15.
