We are sending out the right message. What is itg that Cameron is offering to the voting public that we are not. Nothing; nothing except sound-bites and spin. Continue to support Gordon Brown. I do not envy his circumstances, but I know that he is doing an exemplary job. Britain may be flirting with recession, but under the Tories, we would be in way over our heads...
Very inspiring speech that caught my attention, also remember that words are nothing without actions. I hope that the labour party does not just propose but really puts its policies into action in order to improve the british economy...they have both my attention and support.
Oh yes of course, 2.5% reduction on VAT will cause GB to boom. When decisions like that are made shows how out of touch they are. Wake up, the PM did not think you were clever enough to have a vote on the treaty after promising it and you still support them.
This may seem a simple question to some, but Gordon Brown talks about the reason oil prices rise is because of demand from China and India.
But why have the Oil firms just announced record profits? the prices keep rising, not falling, even though they're aware that people are struggling. Are the government helpless?? do they have absolutely no influence at all??
A fantastic speech! Gordon will come back from his hols with a refreshed and renewed sense of enthusiasm and prove to the country that he is a GREAT Prime Minister.
Compared to Cameron, Gordon is a man of sheer competence and substance and HE WILL get the country through these tough times.
It would be unwise to get a new leader before the next General Election. If Labour did, there would be a general election straight away and we would most likely lose badly. And who's to say the next the leader would do any better and improve the situation? Gordon may be deeply unpopular, but i believe the economic situation will improve and we can do well at the next GE. We made our choice, let's stick to it, the Tories chop and change their leaders.
This was an exceptional speech; I don't think anyone will be in any doubt this is the right man (and the right party) to continue to lead the country. I hope so anyhow!
labour has done so much. Don't vote for the conservative fantasy for life!

It was clear that the media did not show some of key bits of this speech in news bulletins when Gordon spoke of what the Tories really represent.
This was an excellent speech, a total contrast from the con trick Tories.
