  • TURN THE AMP UP!!! lol

  • Fuckin sweet. So fuckin sweet, chap.

  • SO

    F*CKING

    CLEAN

  • Hes playing this on a clean channel, HOLY SHIZZNIT!!!!

  • @goodnamepending no he isn't. are you deaf?

  • @metallica5252 dude wtf is wrong with you that is a clean channel lmfao

  • @goodnamepending are you serious? do you even play guitar? lol it's a distorted tone listen to it. He's just a very clean player..

  • Your technique is amazing!

  • great sweeping

man everyone seems to use that generic vibrato

  • We're guitar brothers! Altho my finish is sexier. ;)

  • is that a Damien Elite?

  • Great lick and excellent playing, though personally I see this more influenced by Shane Gibson than Tosin, at least for the main lick you play. The chords are more Tosin-esque. I'm also seeing a lot of economy picking, which is fine, just answering your question regarding what other musicians see. It sounds kinda like economy picking with occasional added alt picked runs in between the chord tones.

  • You just been treyarched!

  • whaaaat where are my pants

  • This is fantastic playing man. Just a quick question if you care to answer- I've been working on keeping my hands relaxed while playing but how do you manage to keep so loose while playing so fast?

  • @gravyonmypotatoes Thanks man, I would suggest playing everything very slowly and evenly at first, whilst feeling relaxed in both hands and body as you play whatever it is your practicing. Speed comes with time and relaxation, maybe, if you ever feel tense whilst playing, try and over tence just for a second and see how that feels (it wont feel nice) then go back to your "norm" and you may find your a little less tence. Also dont forget to breath when playing!

  • @gravyonmypotatoes dont use too heavy gauges as well. and practice..

  • Man I have the exact guitar that you're playing in this video, and yeah I do agree... It's great. Nice video by the way, bro.

  • Tosin is a genius...seeing him in December with BTBAM.

  • @emann43 oh, you lucky fuck.

  • volumes shirt bro?

  • @kickasskevkev more like Monuments i believe :P

  • @Cairnivore ha my bad. i say the UM on your shirt and it popped in my head lol

  • so..damn..cleann!!!!

  • damn~ i've seen lots of people complaint bout the bolt on neck of damien elite 8. But u play it effortless on the upper frets.. Or was that guitar a hellraiser 8?? ^_^

  • I wasn't expecting this to sound anything like AAL, seeing as Tosin doesn't do too much sweeping, but this sounds great.

  • Monuments shirt

  • I ordered that guitar on August 25th and it's been on backorder ever since :/

    I ordered it from MusiciansFriend.

  • aaaaahhhhhh same concept as the cafo sweeps.. using the same arpeggio just alternating starting points... goood shit

  • What was the song at the end teach that it was crunchy!

  • are you a janitor.. cause you sweep really well

  • First off, sounds great, not just because i have the Schecter C8 Blackjack ATX(lol), bad mofo. With respect, it would be cool to see your picking hand as well. Check this dude out sweeping another Schecter 8...JslLRgpNhhc

  • lol this is a min6 sound. you may have the lowest note to where the arpeggio has a bass note that makes it look like a half dim, but the sound is min6

  • Holy shit dude! You know your shit and can play amazing, really like your style man :) are you in a band?

  • hi sam,

i was intending to get the 7 string version of the damien elite, but then saw this bad boy for about the same price. Ive never played an 8-string before, but the neck looks worryingly wide as i have fairly short fingers. Also whats the action like?

  • @NOYOURNOTHARDC0RE This was my first 8 string, its fantastic. The neck is wide, but not to much wider than the 7 string damien elite. The action is however you set it up to be like, its a very nice neck.

  • If your asking for tabs....You're not ready for this yet.

Go learn some shred basics, learn your scales, make your fingers move don't jus tremolo.

anyways, do 8 string guitars need different amps? because it seems that 8 strings are just too damn bassy in the thicker strings.

all i need is 6 strings. i'll just detune for "xtra heavyness"

  • @Jamsessionroom1337 My Amp has a bit of trouble with the low F# (or E) sometimes, but it was always a bit 'round/flubbery' on it's bass response on some settings (Vox VT30). My little solid state Ibanez amp actually handles it with plenty of clarity (even if the tone isn't good).

  • tabss?

  • cool !

  • That's what I thought. What kind of work do you do? I've looked and looked, handed out hella resumes, called people back and NOTHING. Its so hard finding a job around here right now. My little town is getting too crowded.

  • Is this your Agile?! ...sounds pretty good. I've been doin some research. I think my first 8 string's gonna have to be an Agile. ...and I'm curious, how do you afford all that sweet ass gear?!

  • @UglyScukuggly This is my Schecter that i swapped for my friends agile, he went on to sell the schecter as they were of similar value. I work, work and do some more work to get the gear dude!

  • @SamBellGuitar I take it you're an Agile fan then? I just went in on a 7 string Douglas; didn't want to break the bank on an instrument I wasn't confident with. But I'm satisfied.

  • @SamBellGuitar what'd you think of the schecter? I just picked up a demon 7 elite i personally love it so far but haven't really started exploring it anything horrid i'm gonna run into?

  • @medic2009guy Its an amazing guitar, I prefer it to most agiles, the only problem is access to the 22-24th frets its pretty tough, but not impossible!

  • @UglyScukuggly A cool thing I've noticed, is 99% percent of the time, if you see those cross inlays that are mother-of-pearl, its a schecter.

  • 1 person clearly can't play guitar anywhere near this standard.

  • cool patterns and note choices!!

  • @systematicXXchaos Thank you

  • @SamBellGuitar very good what is your tunning and gauge string very sorry for my basic english

  • @frankyboy3030 i tune standard, and i use 9s on my 8 string due to the longer scale length, i use 10s on my 6/7 string guitars.

  • you're an amazing player dude, congrats!

  • Õ___________Õ

  • thats nice sam

  • Great stuff Sam
