  • damn i didnt knw they played like this up thea

  • where is this at mississippi

  • nah in connecticut.

  • The guy playing the lead guitar is doing his thing. Who is that? Oh, your good too. Way to stay in the pocket. Keep playing for God and the sky's the limit.

  • Also move those toms closer together.

  • Hi, this is Essential Eugene. You did good on the drums. Keep practicing. Did you take lessons? Are you self taught? There are many self taught drummers out there and they do good. Do you play barefoot sometimes?

  • im self taught. im just learning actually. is there a plus in playing barefoot??

  • No robbiedee, you can injure yourself playing barefoot. Just wear a light shoe with a flat sole and you should be cool. But you're doing good, put some more videos up of you at church you're doing good. I'm learning from you.

  • Thanks I will post more videos.

  • Work on your accents and chops. Good luck and God bless.

  • whats chops.??

  • Look it up on here I can't explain it.

  • i dont kno either lol

but i play to at ma church

  • goood job ur doin very well keep doin ya thing and ur such a cutie :)

  • thank you i try.

  • I think you did very well. You are like a metronome with your tempo. I am a choir director and I'd rather have you playing for me than someone who throws the whole beat off and keeps speeding the song up and slowing it down. You accompanied the singers well and played as a part of the group.

  • thanks im still learning. I just want to improve so I can do more. Im to simple right now.

  • thanks so much. i will try to get better.

  • Also keeping in mind, with Quartet music, it is all pocket. Everything in this type of music is structured and there is no room for anyting else. Keep doing your thing, Tia and the more you play, the better you will become. Keep your confidence and don't let negative comments get you down. Remember only what we do for God will last.

  • Thanks for that. God Bless.

  • I agree, quartet is not as easy as it sounds. You start to get this feeling like you're not doing your part and then you try to add more and the crowd starts giving you funny looks. I'm still learning. The church I play at now loves quartet style and I struggle every Sunday. Give me some Myron Butler and Levi and I'm right at home. This Quartet stuff is difficult. You did a good job, I'm jealous.

  • In today's mentality, you good when you can do all these different roles and fills. They don't realize it's that pocket that drives the band as a whole and the band being tight that gives you incredible sound. Timing and placement comes when you put those fills in the right spot to accentuate the band.

  • thank you

  • thanks so much i stoill have plenty to learn

  • You are doing well. I saw others' comments that stated that you are not dynamic or whatever. But that takes time too. The most important thing is getting comfortable back there. Not saying that you are by no stretch, but I remember when I used to be scared to come out of the pocket. LOL, it took me a while, but when you let loose, you feel the freedom...I finally realized that LOL, but what's more important is doing what you do unto the Lord and only Him...Good playing and keep going!!!

  • Thanks so much. Im a little nervous actually im a lot nervous but hopefully in time that will go away but thanx for the encouraging words. (Tia)

  • definitely! you will be fine--watching and listening to influential drummers help as well. I just finished my first degree...LOL, now I am cosidering getting another degree in music...i love the drum Take Care!!!

  • You 2.

  • Can be better.

    Repetitive moves and ritms.

  • dude wheres ur dynamics? Great drumming but it can get better with dynamics

  • what do you mean dynamics?explain

  • Tia: Awesome work!!! I'm not a drummer. I'm a pharmacist by trade, and a servant of Christ by calling & choice. God said in His word that people are created in His image. As such, we "image bearers" can positively reflect God's image. You, as a female drummer, do an outstanding job of a creative expression of the awesome talent your heavenly father has lavished upon & within you! I pray that you would pursue your drumming with gusto, perseverance & discipline. Jim

  • thank u sir.

  • this is my cousin she was shy nah just playin

  • shy or not she doin good cuz now an dayz we need drummers dat can stay n da pocket an an't goin all ova da place like they an't got no sense so job well done TIA
