  • We should take care of nature, protect our planet. It is much more beautiful then the dump all us humans have created. The earth wasn't meant to be this way. Save planet earth! Thumbs up if you agree. :)

  • @wotjesus its called a sun starfish i think, or something like that

  • We've watched 2 of the discs so far - it's amazing. I think it's great someone put some of these scenes on YT to music :)

  • this program was made by the bbc, disney, discovery etc borrowed all the footage

  • Incredible! I just watched a show about all the great temples man has made. They do not compare to what planet earth has made in the past 2 billion years! Please humans take care of it!

  • @AZ89014 it's an octupus! i believe it's trying to mimick a type of fish whose name i forgot.

  • Is technology great or what? I remember in 1978, when my earth science teacher rolled out a "VCR" to watch a nature program. We were amazed. Look at the world now. Cell phones, I pods, plasma tv's, computers as small as your hands. What will be around 31 years from now? It is amazing what humans have done in such a little time. I hope the current generation will use this knowledge for good and not evil. Peace!

  • Wasn't Planet Earth produced by the BBC?

  • Yes you are right mate. The Planet Earth is a BBC production and it was shown on BBC last year. I guess Discovery bought the rights.

  • arent they both connectited some way cause they have some simalar stuff

  • Excellent Vid! ... I am just catching up with watching the series on Discovery and to see all my favorites scenes and bits set to this music is great. Nice job...

  • This is beautiful! Great editing and great music!

  • 2:36 what was that ??!

    looks weird !

    great vid

  • Superb Bird of Paradise :)

  • That is a bird of paradise. I dont exactly know the subspecies though. It looks weird because it lifts its wings and shapes an oblong to seduce the female.

  • Great compilation. I have the whole DVD set, and I love it. Watch it all the time. 5/5 and favorited.

  • What's the thing at 2:25?

  • i think its some type of bird of paradise that lives in the rainforest. i just saw it last night on discovery and was looking for a clip of it to show my friend, glad i found this

  • You saw the commercial too? ;D

  • That was incredible. I have the Planet Earth series on Blue Ray, and I must say you pieced that together perfectly. What was the song used?

  • I cant believe we dumping this beautifull planet :(

  • People's priorities are focused on themselves, and our habits and actions have a largely negative impact on the environment, and thus the beings that exist within it. Some people do try to help (natural activists, people who make shows like this, etc.), but at this point, their efforts are like putting a band-aid on a gun-shot wound. Unfortunatly, until we, the "bullet", are removed from the picture, only then can Earth heal its wounds.

  • Eh, we are still wrestling with our mind. Until we figure out how to use it we will act like spoiled children: destroying more than we create.

  • I guess, but what do you think the odds of that happening are? Not good if you ask me.

  • 2:12 was in the documentary "Earth"

  • A lot of these clips are from Planet Earth :)

  • 3:06

    PWNED.

    Nature is so awesome.

  • "Damn! That bug thang just got ate!

    Damn, Nature; YOU SCARY!!!"

    (Family Guy... xD)

  • ur black. how do i know that?

  • Well, I'M not, but the line (slightly altered) came from a Family Guy parody joking about if some steriotypical black guy was narrating a nature show. It was pretty funny...

  • LOVE this! Music choice was nice and the clips you chose were excellent as well. Yeah, a longer one might be nice, but this one was still WONDERFUL. =) Planet Earth is such an amazing series. I think I'm going to buy the boxset!!

  • wow great

  • Caught myself smiling throughout this presentation. Just amazing! Thank-you

  • Wow. I'm so glad somebody did this. I watched the whole series and often thought it would be so amazing if someone did a montage of different scenes set to music. I only wish the montage were longer! Good work.
