The system settings window is just like system preferences on a mac! Exact same layout and behavior. And this new sidebar with the icons kinda looks like the dock on a mac, only without the magnifying effect.
@IgorGeek It's still in early alpha-stage, they only just added Gnome 3 not so long ago, so it's bound to look a little wonky aesthetically. Expect better by alpha 3/beta 1.
