OMFG, Bill Grundy!!! The last time I saw this episode must've been years before I watched "The Filth and the Fury," which has the infamous clip of him "interviewing" - nay, taunting - The Sex Pistols. This is from around the same time period too. Had no idea... :-D
i tend to think its more likely that something is imprinted , or repeated in time and space, rather than a person unable to escape or pass on.. i also consider that ghosts could be a spirit that never was a human.. perhaps, mimicing human behavior
Its interesting to see how "ghost hunting" has changed over the years and how far more advanced we are now. That equipment he was using was state of the art back then....old reel to reels and such. We've come a long way!
@Misskittycat8: Still not sure, but I find the equipment used in this video to detect ghostly matter far more accurate than the infrared cameras that the ghost hunters use today. Although, EVPs are a big hit as far as technological trends being updated.
This too was my favorite episode. Last time I saw it was 30 year ago and I couldn't watch it alone. Unsolved Mysteries on NBC was a great successor to In Search Of with great ghost stories too...really creepy and with creepy music too. At the time, I copied onto VHS most of those episodes perhaps I can convert and upload too. Great Haunted Castles segments, g8trman77!
I investigate using an infrared camera. All manner of lighting effects can be picked up, all with perfectly normal explanations. If I presented that film to my team and claimed it was definitely not natural, they'd think I had lost my mind.

Strikes me as funny as to the size of the tape recorder and video equipment compared to what ghost hunters have today.

You have to remember that this was almost 30 years ago, and the tools are primitive to today's.

Yes, and in many ways, easier to debunk. This should never have been claimed as paranormal.

The ghost on the pillar in the basement, a refelction of his face. See the nose and nostriles along with the darkened eye sockets? Fake as hell.

Wow, the infamous Bill Grundy! His career must have been over at this point thanks to the Sex Pistols incident.
