  • Cute!

  • Cute video ... one that leaves you with love, endearment and compassion for our furry little friends, and lingers long in the mind after viewing it.

  • What kind of rats are they?

  • Does rats pee and poop all over the carpet? Or is it easy to clean up after them?

  • @zOMGLaserGunzPewPew i know this is old, but rats will pee on you to mark you as their a member of their colony (though its a few small drops, almost oderless and clear) Rats will poop when you first get them as their scared of humans or of the new place. after a few days they only poop inside the cage. babies will poop outside the cage more often though, but its real easy to pick up. just a paper towel, if they had diaria just spray water on the carpet after picking it up to clean it up fully.

  • D'awww, they're adorable!

I miss my rats as well...

  • I've had my rat for two months now and my mom is making me hold her on the kitchen floor because she poops and pees multiple times in 30 mins then I put her back so she will 'go' and take her back out but it never works and it is making me not let here run around like other peoples rats. What should I do ?

  • Cute!!!!!!!!!

  • bahahahahah love

  • quteeee

  • So stinking cute!

  • My little beige hooded rat Hermione, used to poke her head out from under the covers, when my mom played peek a boo with her. I think my rat loved it when people would laugh and baby talk to her. She died years ago. She was a good pet. I loved her.

  • @GeneralKenobiSIYE hey! i have Harry potter rats too! ones name was "Harry-Potter" because he had a lightning bolt shape on his head, "Moony" had a moon shape on his head, and Bellatrix, who i have now, has always tried to escape his cage! (Bellatrix lestrange escaped azkaban) he would get out of his cage every morning at 7 and walk around my room until i woke up, 2pm! and i would call him and he would come lick my feet!

  • the one that jumps uo at the end and sniffs the camera looks just like one of my ratties

  • Lovely! :D

  • Haha peekaboo i see you

  • What sweet ratties! (I have 9 rats... they are sooo sweet!)

  • they're so cute!

  • goofballs! lol

  • Looks more like they were just curious rather than playing peekaboo. How I play peekaboo with one of mine [only works on him], is i'll tap his head lightly when he sticks it from under his hiding spots. Then he starts scuttling around and dashes his head out really quickly >_> it's fun

  • Cute! So kinda like whack-a-mole but with rats :) (And more like tap-a-rat. no whacking!)

  • HOW CUTE THEY ARE

  • gorgeous

  • I noticed your portion of Stephen kings "Dark Tower" series on the book shelf. Absolutely supurb books in my opinion.

  • OMG IM IN LOVE! sooooooo cuteeee!!! gorgous babys they are!

  • super cute!

  • were can i get some healthy fancy rats

  • hansome ratties u got there, dumbo..?

  • Just like really BIG mice! Are they friendly? I love my mice but am a bit scared of rats.

  • Yup! Just like any other pet, rats are nice if you're nice. Erm, watch out for rats who've had abusive owners, though.

  • @lovenmitt VERY true, but I got one of my ratties from the humane society from an abused home and we are slowly but surely working on getting him to trust us. It's certainly possible if you have a strong heart and A LOT of bandages, and treats. ^_^

  • @lovenmitt i find rats to be smarter and more personable than mice too, especially boy rats, if you handle them lots, they'll comfortable sit on your shoulder or in you hood for hours quite contented :)

  • rats tend to bite less than mice because they are smarter and understand that you are just putting them onto your shoulder not taking them away forever. 2 of my rats are totally fine but one bites other people, just started a few weeks ago out of the blue, kinda strange, think shes just a bit confused.

  • @DOTandMATILDA actually, rats tend to make better pets then mice.

rats will interact with you more. they can also learn tricks and can even be litter box trained!

ive had mice, and ive had rats, i enjoy my rats company a lot more. (:

  • @DOTandMATILDA rats are the best rodents, they're cleaner, more intelligent and far more social. Lads are more docile so will spend time with you. Girls are mental.

  • @MachineGun28 rolf you want to tell my boys that they should be docile, they are mental bouncing round, playing tackle with my hand, got boys to have them quieten down and snuggle up and my girls were quieter than these two ever were.

They are the best pets in the world and since I have had, hamsters, guineapigs (still got), a dog (still got), gold fish, tropical fish, mice, water dragon, snakes and rats are my fave through and through.

  • I love them....thanks for sharing

  • @DOTandMATILDA I grew up with rats as pets. I've only gotten bitten once...and it was only a misunderstanding. He was sorry afterwards.....But if you love and handle them, they are so sweet.

  • @DOTandMATILDA Rats are the best pets evar! I love my pet rats, Puma and Omeleht. They are both smart, adorable and caring animals. Puma just got a Tumor in the end of 2010, and it's getting big. I hope she can make it.

  • @DOTandMATILDA ahem, they're better then mice. :) nothing to be scared of, because they love you. ♥

  • @DOTandMATILDA oh god yess rats are super friendly. they even give you kisses

  • @ShreddinWright to true all 3 of my rats used to do that. but they have all died now... :'(

  • @DOTandMATILDA rats steal food though lol. i was eating a TWIX bar, put down, looked back, my rat was runing like heck away with it lol

  • @DOTandMATILDA

oh yes! my vet tech textbook even says that they make good pets for small children because they r not inclined to bite and have charming personalities and intelligence!

But make sure you get the "domesticated" or "hand raised" kind. they interact with humans better

  • @DOTandMATILDA Extremely friendly. Get a pair of same-sex ratties from a reputable breeder, or get a pair from a rescue organization... do NOT buy from a pet store, and do not buy only one, they need at least one rattie companion. I have two kids, age 3 and 5, and they have four rats. They have not been bitten even ONCE. Rats are wonderful pets, the only drawback is their short life. Girl ratties are much less stinky than mice, too. Clean their cage every other day, and you won't smell a thing.

  • @DOTandMATILDA

VERY friendly. If you love mice, you will adore rats as they are better in every way. Once they learn your scent, the fun begins. They are loving and even will react to your emotions. Very caring and emphatic.

Get a same sex pair from a breeder or a knowledgeable rescue agency, there is way less chance of problems that way. Boys like to cuddle with you more than girls and seem more interested to learn tricks. Girls will fight each other less, but are more active and curious.

  • Is that the Dark Tower series I see on your shelf? If you have that plus the rats you are an awesome person ^_^

  • did they ever jump

  • aww super cute little guys, i love their big shnozs'

  • LOL, my pal BooBoo lives in a dresser drawer (his choice, tons of other "housing in their room lol) He loves to play "Peek-A-BooBoo" over the edge of his drawer. He pops his head up and all I have to say is "I see peek a booboo" and the game is on rofl!

  • Heh, maybe I should talk to mine more? I tend to be as quiet as a rat, though :)

  • @lovenmitt Oh definitely talk to your rats! I have several that start bruxing and boggling just from being spoken to, they love it. They will wake up and come to the door as soon as they hear my voice. I have one particularly shy boy who really doesn't like being held but adores being talked to, that is his preferred method of interaction. I talk, he chitters back.

  • @lovenmitt Rats definitely respond to their owner's voices, they can even learn simple commands and be trained to do stuff like dogs. Very smart creatures. I miss my ratties :(
