  • Smoking hot !

  • all i didn't like about that tutorial was the woman, why would you waste so much time on slutty pictutres people can masturbate to? a fucking pair of boobs will do -___- i was hoping you would do an artistic shoot with deep meaning

  • @RockalilyDunne .. me thinks someone is unusually jealous and may need to get laid.

  • What size is the strip light box that you are using?

  • Never for evil

  • hot girl that's make photos relly nice =)

  • 3:25 's pic is beautiful!!:D

I love the light strip:) I always thought square softboxes were the best to use:) I was proven wrong:)

  • Great tutorials and so easy to understand. Thanks.

I like the color shots best here. Renee has beautiful coloring.

  • The light in the back was used only as a video hair light. It was not used for photography.

  • I saw a second light up and back to the right. Was that a hair light? Why wasn't that light mentioned? The shots look nice though.

  • cool shots, I just rented a studio and they had that strip there and the black background, this is something I am going get into, thats for the inspiration and info, I am kind of a newbie at this

  • I just subbed I LOVE PHOTOGRAPHY!! and HOPE to have it as a side job or sometihng one day!! :D

  • @explusion92 I hope that works out for you man:) I just started it as a side business as well and I have a deviantart page if you're interested to look at my work and we could share experience:) inbox me if interested and put "photography" as the subject:) I'll send you my link. • @SunfireGTX25 oh cool! I wanna make a devianart page for my photography! :D I might soon! Yeah that would be cool.

  • whos the model?

  • Awesome, I wish I could reproduce that level of quality, model wasn't bad either. Keep up the good work!!!! Mark. ;-)

  • Rookies who dont know how to turn their camera to vertical shouldnt really make tutorials.

  • @FelixGA9 he shot everything vertical, the background was extended in post to fill the video. Who's the rookie that didn't realize this?

  • thanks for also mentioning the settings on the camera

  • Thx very good tutorial

  • Well presented and educational tutorial!! Thank you for posting!!

  • brutal photos

  • She's hot. He is awkward.

  • fuckin sexy

  • Great use of Shaddow in this shoot

  • Cool video. I'm just learning myself, I've found a lot of helpful tips at thephotographyclinic (.) com

  • love the first b&W shot....I hope she does porn !

  • What lens did you use and how did you set up your flash? Thank you!

  • @Tina99ers the lens is a canon 24-105 f4. is.the elinchrom 1000 w\s strobe is connected to the back of the strip and the strip is connected to the c-stand.

  • nice work

  • very Good! ;)

  • Nice info thanks

  • Hi Scott, tell me please , what kind of lens did you used in this tutorial?....thanks!

  • @MrCostyalex that is my canon 24-105 f4 IS

  • Hahahahahaha never for evil

  • Wow!!!! This was a phenomenal!!! Great tip.

  • not bad. i appreciated the curvy model very much. this is how us dorky white guys get to hang with hot models :P

  • This realy taught me somthing about lighting. I like the effect. One thing about this guys method though. I notice he has a curvy model but seems to lose a lot of that in the shadow. Seems like she had bad angles for the shots realy losing some of the female accents I would normaly see. I assume this was for a basic tutorial and not usable pictures.

  • Is the light head that you're using here an elinchrom as well or is it just the "strip" that's elinchrom? Thanks great video

  • jjj que cabronazo eres

  • Not only is Mitch the Moon Bat 14--but he has become an obsessive Moon Bat who needs to stalk me! Moon Bat 14 forever. Now, Moon Bat 14, if you would look at the lovely Renee, you would have to admit that all I said about her is true--unless you don't like women.

  • @photoman022 Oh, aren't you a sassy Manchuvian? It's called tact. Walk up to any woman and say "Nice rack." and see if you get a positive response.

  • What lens are you using?

  • @thao1mage i am using the canon 24 to 105 F4 is

  • very nice, I'm dennis from the philippines

  • she was gorgeous U can get better angles of her becuz she is a graciously curvy woman.

  • were can i buy that black background? or how can i order it?

  • @vladislaowilly

order it from B&h, they will ship them to you

  • I need to make one of those Strip-Light soft boxes... Hmm, I'm gonna go to an Arts and Crafts store to see what I can find.

  • it's not rude to remark that the lovely Renee is lovely indeed!

  • Are there any big differences between the Canon and the Nikon SLR cameras?

And which would you recommend for a beginner ?

    Many thanks.

  • Thanks !

  • softcore tutorial.

  • I countdown anytime there is that much flash. It warns the model it's coming. some models will close thier eyes, and open right before "3" if there's a lot of flash that close to thier face.

  • how do you concentrate?

  • love this strip bank! only wish elinchrom would make a grid for it.

  • Why are you using a whitebalance, don't you shoot in RAW?

  • whitebalancing, even in RAW, help denote the temp and tint levels, so you require smaller adjustments once in the RAW editor.

  • where is that flash coming from? what is that thing on top of your slr?

  • the flash is coming form the strip light as well and the thing on top is a Wireless Transmitter witch activates the flash wirelessly =)

  • what do you use in the background to give the nice black color. Is it black paper roll or some kind of textile? Can you recommend a product & how you prop it up?

  • the background is a westcott washable 10x24 black.cost 243.00.just a background suppopt system holding it up.

  • Damn those tities are big

  • The photo @ 1:58. The model's head looks a bit weird.

  • Can i have your model?

  • @ ikanaide

Good one...That was hilarious. I can guarantee you are also "that guy" I see at the auto show every year asking the models if they come with the car.

  • @jeffbrent

    Touché, jeffbrent, Touché ...

  • @ikanaide I agree. Nobody is watching the video for the camera guy.

  • bloody hell!! I needed to watch the video four times to hear the explanation- the girl steals all attention.

  • where can we buy that materials, de background and de strip?? and much does it cost??

  • Background support system is $200

10x24 Wescott Black Backdrop is $250Equivalent as an Elinchrom costs $600

    Large Elinchrom Strip is $1,200

    2-Pocket Wizard Transceivers are $360

Just remember that you can also rent equipment...I personally do not own any of this equipment except for the Canon 5D

If you were to rent this equipment...the rental price per day would be around $100 depending on the rental house . Hope that gives you an idea !!!

  • what material is the backdrop??? and how did the pics come out dark if the lights in the room are on

  • Hey Scott, Great job! Thanks for your time with all your videos. Helped me a lot. I have the same set up as you and think I may have the same camera. Anyway thanks again. I enjoyed all you videos.

  • i love it and the girl is beautiful *.*

you have so nice colors *.* dream

  • the light is too harsh!!!

  • If you look at the details in the highlights, the light isn't harsh at all... it's the high contrast that makes you think it's harsh lighting. I think this is a great way to light a model when shooting B&W.

  • @coolvideos555 I think that's what he was going for though

  • Who wants to see Renee's tits?

  • she is super hot! good video.

  • nice model!! deliciuusssss

  • she is so beautiful

    O & good work :-)

  • Beautiful Model!

  • Strong series of tutorials. No need for rude comments about the model.

  • @Studio162 it is not rude to remark that the lovely Renee is lovely indeed. And that does not detract from Scot's excellence and expertise

  • @photoman022 Ha ha, Studio162, if you google photoman022 and Renee he says she has a "lovely rack" on a different site.

  • Thanks for the tips.

I love the end comment of the dude.

  • I bought one yesterday, I also uses octa 150cm and gonna buy beauty dish 70cm to combine with strip :D

  • If I don't feel like renting, or shelling out the $800-900 for an Elinchrome 6' strip, could I achieve the same effect by using a 6' softbox and feathering its right edge on the left side of the model's body?

  • yes you can do this with a soft box and you will need to bring it pretty far to the side. the farther to the side the light position will determine the degree of light fall off. dont forget the the strip light is a very narrow piece of light therefore the fall off is much easier accomplished. where the box is much wider and more difficult but should be able to be done.

  • Better yet take that 6' softbox and take some black construction paper and cover each side of the softbox and leave just how much you need exposed in the center. Voila even better you get to decide how wide your strip light will be. Cheap and easy.

  • Senciz ..... AWESOME suggestion !!!

  • do i need to use the flash on my camera when using studio lighting like that or do i just let the camera use the studio lights ? I keep thinking the camera flash will wash out any studio light.

  • the camera flash should not produce more power than your studio lights, therefore it should not put out a significant amount of light that would affect the studio light because the studio light should be producing more power and it would be causing the true exposure.

  • thanks :)

  • what was he using the strobes here for? I didn't even see their effect one bit in the pictures... I thought maybe a backlight or something but it looks like it was only the big softbox thingy lighting her..

  • He's only using the Elinchrom stripbox.

  • LOL...never for evil...yeah...especially when you're working with a model like the lovely Renee. Can you stand it? Huh? Can you?

  • Excellent video tutorial...thank you for posting.

  • gr8 video and lovely photos,thx!!

  • Excellent video. Thank you!

  • one-two-three

  • thanks. this was very easy to understand....great video

  • Great video...keep them coming.

  • very well explained
