I stopped by two years to listen (i was resonator ghost). Listening today, I enjoy your rendition as much as the first time. You are one fine guitar player.
This song always breaks my heart a little bit. I was born and raised in NYC and I miss it always. This is a lovely rendition of one of my fav songs - well done.
I "just happened" on your performance, because I was looking for songs to sing at nursing homes around town.... since I believe in cosmic serendipity, I think that's what this is.... so... two questions : what kind of guitar are you playing?? and do you know the harp guitarist, Stephen Bennett?
Oh, I love this song! There was a beautiful carousel I visited sometimes as a child and it played this song. I've always had a soft spot for it. Your version is really pretty. Thank you. ^_^
Wonderful!! Really enjoyed both the singing and the guitar. Beautiful guitar arrangement. I do one that's similar and it's so much fun to play. Love the time change in the middle!! Very cool. Ending is marvelous!! Thanks for sharing! bb
Brilliant, sir! I enjoyed this very much. Your musicianship is excellent. May I add Joe Allen to the list of great places in your song? That's where I go when I really, really, need a pint.
Hi Carl, I see why this is a favorite of yours, very pretty song. Thanks for posting it. It is always a pleasure to hear you perform. Thanks again. Paul
Loved it! Great song! Great playing and singing, too... naturally! Wasn't familiar with this tune but now want to add it to my repertoire! Love the tempo/feel change from 6/8 to 2/4 or whatever at 1:42! VERY cool! GREAT job!
Great old song. Well done maestro!

Its a Taylor K20 made of Koa wood. All Koa except the fretboard which is Ebony. No, I don't know of Stephen Bennett, but I'll check him out.
