@starry8 Yes, the revolution is inside our heads, not on people's death. If we don't have results nowadays, it's because we didn't change. I mean, I changed but people still join the army and think killing/war is the solution. Peace is something that must happen 24 hours per day in our heads. As John said, sleep for peace, work for peace, breath for peace, until it's a part of us.

I'd suggest revising your attitude here though. You not enjoying something or someone doesn't give you the right to bemoan and attack the defense of others after your initial protest.

That's why all the people who respect him, respect him for the positive messages through his great music, and not for something as trivial as being arrogant. He's already being remembered by younger generations, and definitely "not" for his publicity stunts. Change the world? Not really. But he became an icon for peace for better or worse.

He became, or maybe always was, a silly, self-indulgent, self-important celebrity, who professed to hate the media he was always trying to attract - by staying in bed a week, or wearing a Kotex on his head, all while acting, and feeling, contemptuous of everyone else.
As to social importance, he was to the late 60's and early 70's what Madonna is today: plenty of photogs and celeb news bits, but empty at the heart.
