great airline , however ive only been with them 3 times and in those 3 times theres always been delays for over 2 hourslol ,, ah well its a great airline when u get in :)
To be honest ive flown on quite a few types of aircraft with quite a few airlines and even though two of my three encouters with monarch have been delayed by up 8 and 12 hours you will see me on a monarch plane in a few months time because there outstanding the service the crew and everything else are just brilliant you couldnt ask for better all i say though is get first class monarch haha :D
Ket's see - both Thomson and Monarch have ordered 787's and both are going to have delays of at least 12 months in receiving them - I know Thomson are considering cancelling the order - bloody good job too.... Monarch should actually stick to Airbus equipment. At this rathe the A350 will be in service first!!
@knaphilllee Thomson are not cancelling them. They ordered more recently! And there are delays for the A350 round the corner too, they've already eaten up their flight test margin - one small problem and it'll be delayed.
@blueb0g I have read that TOM are really pissed that they havent got their 787's on time (was meant to be in service 2008????). Thats why they're fitting 757's and 67's with tinglets to keep them going til 787's arrive - probably 2012-14 now. I know the A350 could be delayed, but why do Airbus always build a superior product - simple - they do better jobs than yanks on building quality aircraft - As an A320 pilot - I personally am glad I am off 737's now!
@knaphilllee Airbus do not "always build a superior product" - I don't know how you'd judge that. What are we rating this on? Efficiency? If so, 737s are "better" than A320s (they're considerably more efficient, at least they will be until the A320s get sharklets.) Are we basing this on looks? If so, I'd say that on most counts Boeing aircraft are "better" but this is entirely subjective. If we're talking about safety then the 777 is possibly THE safest and the 737 is safer than the A320...
@knaphilllee Your taliking absolute bollocks.Boeing are way superior to Airbus in just about every single area.Your a pilot you say?If you really are (which i very much doubt from your ignorant comment)then i hope to god i'm not flying on your aircraft next time!
You know when you said that the Boeing 757's are are slowly replacing the A321 then if the 757's are gone in four years as you said then the fleet won't have any small aircrafts? Great vid, 5 stars.
Cheers! LOL same, TCX is probably my favourite, followed by MON. And yep agreed, the 757 is a fantastic piece of kit, still doing its job well after so many years - you really have to give it to Boeing for creating such a capable machine. Thanks mate :)
Thanks for the comment! Actually, when I said the A300 being the oldest aircraft I meant the oldest model - like, the first A300 entered service 1974, the first 757 1982, I know it was a bit unclear :P And yeah I reckoned there were less 757s in MON's fleet by now, sadly I checked and G-DAJB has gone. And that's sad news about the 767. Thanks again.
Thanks. Well the DC-10 is no longer in the fleet, and the nose is pretty boring to be honest. And I disabled ratings because of an unsavoury person using 7 accounts to rate each video 1*.
