  • A330 Never has a Hard touchdown

  • great airline , however ive only been with them 3 times and in those 3 times theres always been delays for over 2 hourslol ,, ah well its a great airline when u get in :)

  • To be honest ive flown on quite a few types of aircraft with quite a few airlines and even though two of my three encouters with monarch have been delayed by up 8 and 12 hours you will see me on a monarch plane in a few months time because there outstanding the service the crew and everything else are just brilliant you couldnt ask for better all i say though is get first class monarch haha :D

  • were do they fly out of mainly?

  • Ket's see - both Thomson and Monarch have ordered 787's and both are going to have delays of at least 12 months in receiving them - I know Thomson are considering cancelling the order - bloody good job too.... Monarch should actually stick to Airbus equipment. At this rathe the A350 will be in service first!!

  • @knaphilllee Thomson are not cancelling them. They ordered more recently! And there are delays for the A350 round the corner too, they've already eaten up their flight test margin - one small problem and it'll be delayed.

  • @blueb0g I have read that TOM are really pissed that they havent got their 787's on time (was meant to be in service 2008????). Thats why they're fitting 757's and 67's with tinglets to keep them going til 787's arrive - probably 2012-14 now. I know the A350 could be delayed, but why do Airbus always build a superior product - simple - they do better jobs than yanks on building quality aircraft - As an A320 pilot - I personally am glad I am off 737's now!

  • @knaphilllee Airbus do not "always build a superior product" - I don't know how you'd judge that. What are we rating this on? Efficiency? If so, 737s are "better" than A320s (they're considerably more efficient, at least they will be until the A320s get sharklets.) Are we basing this on looks? If so, I'd say that on most counts Boeing aircraft are "better" but this is entirely subjective. If we're talking about safety then the 777 is possibly THE safest and the 737 is safer than the A320...

  • @knaphilllee Your taliking absolute bollocks.Boeing are way superior to Airbus in just about every single area.Your a pilot you say?If you really are (which i very much doubt from your ignorant comment)then i hope to god i'm not flying on your aircraft next time!

  • @knaphilllee no way they are the eu launch customer and are going to be an all Boeing fleet

  • @knaphilllee there the Eu launch customer there not cancelling...

  • @knaphilllee Monarch have cancelled the 787 now

  • Your videos are the best. personally i love planes.and im SO sure im subbing you.

  • @GeorgeRulesVideos Thanks so much!!

  • on average the 757s are older than there a300s

  • @Aviationnation10 Yes, but the A300 is an older design, is what I meant.

  • are they german?

  • @chriswright95 English LOL, hence "Monarch".

  • Brilliant vid although iv flown with monarch to goa from gatwick bit of a bad flight but hey you making any more bids?

  • thomson r the best

  • nice video! im going porta rico on 1 for 4 and half hours on saturday can't wait woo !!!

  • The A300's dont operate mainly from Manchester, their daily from Luton to Larnaca, and normally 3 or so from Gatwick!

  • Opps sorry about my comment before, I read the text in the video incorrectly.

  • @harrihealey02 No problems, thanks mate!

  • You know when you said that the Boeing 757's are are slowly replacing the A321 then if the 757's are gone in four years as you said then the fleet won't have any small aircrafts? Great vid, 5 stars.

  • Fantastic video.

    Thanks for sharing :)

  • Cheers! LOL same, TCX is probably my favourite, followed by MON. And yep agreed, the 757 is a fantastic piece of kit, still doing its job well after so many years - you really have to give it to Boeing for creating such a capable machine. Thanks mate :)

  • and I'll be on one of those 757's in July!

  • Yep, good news indeed! Sorry for the late reply! I guess you're a Monarch FA?

  • Thanks for the comment! Actually, when I said the A300 being the oldest aircraft I meant the oldest model - like, the first A300 entered service 1974, the first 757 1982, I know it was a bit unclear :P And yeah I reckoned there were less 757s in MON's fleet by now, sadly I checked and G-DAJB has gone. And that's sad news about the 767. Thanks again.

  • I would give this video a rating of 5 out of 5

  • amazing video! keep these coming!

  • Thank you! It means a lot coming from someone like you, cheers for that mate!

  • They where a good competitor with Britannia Airways as they started there airline in the 60's with the Bristol Britannia

  • yoo, next time use scanners to listen to th e pilots and make a video of them landing. thanks

  • Awesome !@!@

  • Thanks blue for telling us, that was alot of interesting info.

    =)

  • Thank you! Haven't spoken in a while, how are things?

  • @blueb0g

Very good, thanks för asking =)

I´m still dreaming of coming to Manchester one day, to the aviation park. I let you know if i´m coming.....

  • Very nice! But, lol, you forgot to include the DC-10 nose! :) Why disable ratings? 5* from me!

  • Thanks. Well the DC-10 is no longer in the fleet, and the nose is pretty boring to be honest. And I disabled ratings because of an unsavoury person using 7 accounts to rate each video 1*.

  • great footage! Can certainly tell alot of work was put into this! 5/5

  • wow, didnt know monarch was a charter

  • Nice video! 757 leaving is sad isn't it?

They shouldn't have stopped making them.

    To be replaced by AirPeugeot...

  • Yes, very sad! I don't mind the A321 but it just doesn't cut the cheese compared with the 757, lol.

  • amazing :)

  • Well done mate! This is really interesting!

  • very nice footage & informative too

  • Deserve 5-stars for sure!

  • Absolutely brilliant video Ben, thanks for this extremely informative production. I do look forward to many more in the series!

  • Thank you so much for your comment! And I look forward to making many more

  • great work =) 5*****

  • Very interesting vid !! Well done !!

  • good video!

  • I really like the way you worded the information, it was clear and understandable! Kept my attention to the very end too!

  • cant forget the oldschool - classis Dc10 :)

  • Nice Video, Cool AIrline, At 2:25 is that a Concorde?

    Made out of somthing?

  • Yes, I think its made out of willow.

  • Great video 5*

Did you hear about bets being placed on monarch being the next airline to go bust.

  • Cheers, and no, I didn't ... I find it unlikely to be honest, they seem quite stable.

  • Yeh Monarch wasn't too happy. They made a statement about saying their gna be around for alot longer :D

  • Fantastic!
