This was definitely THE most random thing an antagonist would do to a protagonist in a video game I've ever seen. It really caught me off guard, and at first didn't understand WHY Ash would do that.

But then I realized it was probably to taunt Rion, proving how nutty Ash really is. Or maybe it had another meaning, that Ash wanted some kind of "contact" from being in isolation for so long? ;P I'm sure the Yaoi fans were drooling at this scene. Loved playing this game, yaoi and all.

I've read the JAP script for this game, but there's no obvious indication about why they kiss...and what the kiss can really do.

I personally DO NOT think the KISS will transfer data, because even in the 2nd kiss, it's just so instant that I don't think it is possible to transfer such large amout of data. And if the data is transfer as Rion kisses Ash,then Ash should be fronzen by that time[?] but he doesn't and he drops a tear.

I believe the virus is only transfering&running when Ash yells out as Rion holds his face in his hands. [In fact, in the Jap Official Guide's scenerio script, the SCENE is written in THIS ORDER:

1.Virus transfer. [Rion holding Ash's face]

2.They appear in a white blury space.

3."I don't hate you, and you must not hate the others" - by Rion

4.Rion kisses Ash.

--I was supprised reading the script..but..the actual movie sequence does make a lot of sense than the script.
