More relevantly in this case since the fire was very hot the spraying water would have had the same effect pouring water on a pot of burning oil, which suffusive to say wouldn't help.... For those who want to know what happened after the last ATC transmission, it is very probable that the aircraft's tail separated from the rest of the plane as the fire weakened the fuselage. This caused the aircraft to pitch down and dive as there wouldn't be any way to control the aircraft's altitude. The pilots may have also become incapacitated due to the high level of smoke in the cockpit.

The Pallet was already bruning out of control and the fire was spreading, even if they could get the cargo out the fire would still be burning. They were most likely dealing with a Class-D fire (A fire caused by and fueld by metals such as magnisum since the extinguishers weren't putting the fire out) to extinguish the fire you need a special kind of foam to extinguish a Class-D fire

If you type 'Air Crash Investigation List Of Episodes' into Google the list will come up. You can then go through and watch any others which you've not yet seen. Any loose papers or checklists go flying, possibly injuring the pilots or making them lose a vital piece of information they may need later in the flight.
