  • I counted the pixels

  • calculator is better

  • your potato has a shitty camera.

  • this dude has the worlds best quality camera. that has to have been industry grade right their. such high quality blobs of crap :)

  • dude why do you upload such shit? im talking about the quality....

  • We know that iMac G3 can boot OS X Snow Leopard also!

  • @tweetyaja Go to wikipedia. Use that thing you supposedly call a "Brain". Snow Leopard is an Intel only OS. Never mind these crappy things. Mine had trouble running Puma.

  • oh my god can you wipe the shit off your camera!!!!!

  • Holy shit thats some bad quality.

  • macs dont have vireses

  • It's an iMac G3, named G3 because of the PowerPC G3 processor that it runs on, subsequent versions of the iMac used the G4 and eventually the G5 PowerPC chip, and they were named accordingly.

It can be confusing because very often we see products described as 1G or 2G based on the generation of products that they come from and in the case of the iPhone, the 3G model, whilst being technically the 2nd generation iPhone is named 3G because of the fact that it runs on 3G mobile networks.

  • @jamieross1991 I think you're the only person here with a brain

  • @KIEflipROX Why thank you :)

  • PEOPLE. THIS COMPUTER IS A G3. GET THE FUCK OVER IT. G3 IS THE PROCESSOR. NOT THE VERSION. jesus shit people are retarded.

  • @ripin150 thank you for using your brain.

  • @zach2589 No prollem. Dont let assholes get you down.

  • @ripin150 true people here are fucking clueless

  • @ripin150 Yah I'm Getting the Older One of the iMac G3 Family The iMac G3 Blond Blue Tray Loading

    Orgriginal IMAc G3

  • LOL, get osX 10.3 on there, at least!

  • omg. you RUINED the video by adding that crap music. The only reason i clicked on this video was to hear the "bing" when it turned on. plus, why do you have 9.2.2? My slot loading g3 will hold up to mac os x 10.2.4.

  • @Shadus13 your imac can hold mac os x 10.4.11 dude. :)

  • @theanthony345 well i seldom use it so it really isn't needed

  • Pointless.

  • You ruin the video by adding music.

People wanna hear that bong when you press the on button.

  • name of the music, pls ! Thanks.

  • mac fast ? it took 1 min and 49 sec to boot up.

  • its 12 years old

  • Laptoplover2 WTF are you talking about?

  • I just got an imac 3g from a friend but I know nothing about it. Uhm should I try installing tiger maybe or is 9.2 a good os?

  • Get Snow Leopard 10.6, it's amazing :)

  • Snow Leopard wont run on the older iMacs, those computers have the wrong processor in them. The older iMacs have a PPC processor, you need an intel processor. Not to mention that if 10.6 *could* run on it, it would be so slow, it wouldn't be worth it.

  • I think it only works on intel macs

  • You can upgrade it on a PPC b/c I've done it :)

  • at least get some sorta os x

  • get a better quality camera or something, can hardly see it!!!!!!!!!!

  • i think the lightning was a LITTLE bit faster

  • WTB more quality

  • Hard to see anything:)

  • The G2 was the PowerMac.

  • i rememeber these old macss at school

  • My brother was given a second hand iMac G3 earlier this year, it appears to be a 233 MHZ model, running Mac OS 8.6. It starts up rather quickly for a computer that's over 10 years old, but when you press the power button to shut it down, or select shut down from the menu bar, BOOM! Instant Power Down, the bloody thing shuts down so bloody quickly, it's truely amazing. Why do so many people who post to this video say this computer is a iMac G2? There never was such a thing as a G2.

  • argh, your music sucks, but the iMac looks cool.

  • Craphead

That's an iMac G2 The iMac G3 has a Cd drive like a car where you slide the disk in without a tray

  • Hey dumbass the g3 refers to the processor not the version of the computer. And for the record it's called a slot loading cd drive.

  • Fuck Face!!! G3 isn't the processor it's the version!!!! Get the fuck outta here you son of a bitch!

    Ass Hole

  • No it isn't the version u are stupid! And swearing alot proves that! U are probably about 10 years old!!!

  • hes right its a G2 you couldve thought before you said...

  • Hey dude thank 4 for being polite but i checked with appla and it is a g3. But its the original model of the imac series

  • there's no such thing as a G2

  • Comment removed

  • Well, he's right, G3 indeed refers to the CPU and not the actual version/design of the system, there never was such a thing as an iMac G2, the first iMac released in 1998 was the iMac G3, and this is clearly a 1998/early 1999 model iMac G3. How much experience have you had with iMacs?

  • G3 IS the processor! The PowerPC G3 processor. There was never such processor as a G2. Before the G3 was the PowerPC 604e processor.

There is no "version" of the computer. The first iMacs in 1998 had the tray-loading CD drive. They were called iMac G3. In 1999 they were redesigned with a slot-loading CD drive. Because they still used the G3 processor, they were still called iMac G3.

When the next-generation iMac came out in 2002, it used the PowerPC G4 processor, so it was called iMac G4.

  • i don't care just leave me alone. I know that there is no G2 Processor and now all Macs have Intel Processors, Core2 Duo I think except for the Mac Pro which has the Intel Xeon Processor.

  • YO FUCKFACE! The Name Is Intel Core 2 Duo... And GET A LIFE AND ACTUALLY OWN A MAC BITCH!

  • WTF extreme consumerism ?

  • Comment removed

  • I am with a old (not so much) mac mini with intel core 1 duo

  • laptoplover2: You ARE one dumb idiot. Where the hell did you get your brain out of, a box of cheerios? The G3 *is* the processor. There is no such thing as a G3 "version". Maybe you should crack open a book or something and read up on things before you post something you obviously don't have a clue on.

  • There never was a processor actually named G2,

There were many iMac models, the older models had the tray load where iMacs from late 1999 to 2002 had slot loading,

the newer G4 iMac had tray, since imac g5 its always slot

  • there were 2 versions, the Tray loading iMac G3 and the slot loading one which is also G3. The Tray loading one came first. then apple redesigned it into the slot loading one, and they also removed the infrared bit at the front. (and i know this is a G3 coz i got the same one)

  • There was no G2. There were just PPC chips before, but none were the G2.

    "like a car" ????

    lol

Retards, download MacTracker from Google to see ALL the Macs ever made and quit acting like you're 10.

  • There was a (limited) G2 edition of classic macs! Google Mac G2

  • Says the idiot who doesn't have a clue which end he shits out of!

  • Does it really take 2.5 minutes for a Mac to boot?

  • wen they r tat old yes

  • Not exactly, my brother has a second hand iMac G3 with OS 8.6 and it boots up very quickly.

  • wow

    wow

    wow

    wow

not even my imac 3G boots THAT slow....

  • What version of Mac OS are you using on your iMac. This one looks as if it's running OS 9.2, it may just need some more RAM in it.

  • I saw it! It was 9.2

  • you don't

  • you DONT, and its NOT a piece of shit.

  • i still have this one sitting around....

and then i got a new windows vista

  • dude, y get a mac vista face down sucks

  • i got a slot loader with a firewire port... urs must be weird. cuz mine

  • i got the first gen slot loading and i wish i had one with firewire

  • first gen was tray loading... I just bought a 333mhz(Rev D) one :)

  • Did you upgrade it to OSX yet? It can run it perfectly fine, try it. But otherwise that's a pretty good computer. :D

  • need to get a half a gig of ram and a dvd drive but then i will.

  • You can put mac OS X 10.2.8 Jaguar on it and you don't need a lot of RAM, just more than 128 MB and you don't need a DVD Drive, just CD-ROM! IF you want 10.3.9 Panther, youll need 256 MB RAM and a CD-ROM drive. Tiger REQUIRES a DVD-ROM drive and 512 MB RAM will help. But you'll need XPostFacto 4 to install Tiger without FireWire. I hope this helps!

  • Ah the memories :)

  • i have one of these that someone gave me and i can't even watch youtube videos on it because it says that macromedia (or whatever the company is) doesn't even support os 9 any more i guess. i'm going to try to buy a 600 mhz logic board on ebay for like $50 and up the ram etc. to run 10.4

  • you can run mac os x 10.3.9 w/o upgrade if you have at least 128 mb ram or 10.4 with any g3 600 mhz is not a requirement

  • why are u telling him what to do?

  • Better yet, put in 512 of ram, update firmware, and update to 10.4.10 or save up for a newer or new imac. os9 is dead, G3s are dying very quickly. Even some G4s will be obsolete when 10.5 comes out. Love my G3 snow 700mhz, but the writing is on the wall.

  • Seriously. I think he knows that. OS 9 just runs faster then OS X on those things..

  • I have OS 8.1.

  • that is what mine came with

  • Really??? Then you have the first iMac!!

  • yes it is the first generation imac

  • cool video

  • holy shit thats slow wat spec is it?

  • Green Day!!!!!!!

  • i love imac!

  • yeh it rocks

  • song = are we the waiting lol

  • damn that is slow.

  • okk

  • What the heck is this?...Its....dumb....but sooo cool!
