I like that hand made analog synthesizer music. Using real voltage controlled analog functions. The magics used here are all build around operational amplifieres, analog computers!
Funny: I forgot to stop oxygene 2 while listening to oxygene 1. Try to play them at the same time with a few seconds offset in both films. Amazing sound !
I remember seeing him in Houston, Texas in the 80's it was amazing he used the whole Downtown Houston building as his stage.....Lack for better words it was perfect
35 years later, JMJ remains THE Master even if his music became more conventional. Glory also returns to the underestimated engineers, in measure to conceive exceptionnal machines as ARP 2600, Korg Mini Pops 7 or incredible Eminent 310 U (the based sound of 'JMJ') of average 40 years ago!!! I hope I can acquire this last one in 2012 with the caterings which are imperatives.
Can we make better today? I do not think of it, or then, not before the next genius. ;-)
Peut-on faire mieux aujourd'hui ? ;-)
fantastic! You have to remember that there was NOTHING that sounded like this before it. Synths were so far outside the mainstream of common usages. There was no "ambient", no "techno", no "synthpop", no "acid"...nothing. this was one of the first that showed that synths could make music at all. This is the equivalent of the first talking movies. Amazing.
most of youtube users who demonstrate thier synths are better

Pure genius, and dont forget Jarre also created many of his own instruments to

@szorial1 He did? Well, maybe ideas but it was Geiss who built his custom stuff. Yeah, he was a pioneer but a pretty unknown pioneer.
