  • I might have commented before. Anyway :D

The only fault I can pick up on your axel is that you swing your left arm round to get rotation. This might make your rotation leany on doubles/triples. But it's awesome.

On the double sal think about pre rotating it half a turn, then kicking FORWARDS like an axel. Otherwise it is really difficult to get.

  • Thanks so much!!

Yeah, but i thought double salchow was only 1 1/12 rotations anyway? Either way, i know what you mean :D And i'll work on it!

    Thanks for the advise :D

Yeah, thats the only problem with my axel, though its kinda consistent now, so i'll work extra hard on my arms :D

    You didnt comment before ;)

  • Yeah but remember to pre rotate it because if you try to do 2 full rotations it won't work. That's how I lost mine :D

  • ok :D

    lol

  • If you land on the right foot (well left for you!) on your dbl sal, pretty soon you'll get it! Try to stand up a little straighter. I'm amazed that you can do so well without being taught by your coach!

  • Thankyou :D

I think it was the axle that helped. after landing axel clean, the double seemed so much easier!

    Thankyou for the advise :D

  • the axel u showed in the beginning wuz awesome!

  • Thankyou

  • Your double salchows are very spinny. Does that make sense? You should hold each edge on your three turn for a count of three and then jump by kicking your free leg through, not around. That will help your technique, but otherwise pretty good attempts, and really good air position. :)

  • Thankyou :D

Yeah, I think I know what you mean! :D

  • nice axels!=)

  • Thankyou

  • I kinda agree with not trying your doubles, but yet i did when i wasn't learning them :] Um the only thing that i did notice on your doubles was, you kind of colaps on your landings. I found that practicing back spins off ice (on a spinner) and keeping your head and back perfectly straight and jumping out helps a lot! Uh, other than that try not stepping out on the landings. Try double toes, those are the easiest doubles to do, since most people do them with out even realizing. Good Luck!

  • Thanks :D

  • your axels, are gorgeous. :D.

  • Thankyou very much :DD

  • no problem! and wow from a stand still? your my hero also! I cannot even attempt them without flying into them. I find it scarier doing them without a lot of speed if that makes sense?:P

  • I agree!

It seems much easier going into them with speed. But thats why I do them from standstill, my coach said that it shows more control if you can do them from standstill. I will practise them from speed soon though.

  • You are so so so close on the doubles! You just need to land on the right feet and you got it (it is not easy, i know). Wow! your axel has improved from your last viideo. Well done!

  • Thankyou :D

  • i wouldn't try doubles.

  • And why shouldn't I?

These are just for fun... Im not taking doubles seriously.

  • Doubles? Wow! Respect ;P

  • Thanks :D

  • GREAT jump attempts, and good height in the axel. Your flip jump is excellent, too! (I'm still struggling with the loop, but have finally got the three jump/loop combo today...yay!)

  • Thankyou very much :D

Great job on the three jump/loop :D

  • wowow!! your amazing!! your axel and doubles are really good!

  • Thankyou :DDD

  • Awesome axels Marie! Doubles are close too!

  • Thanks!

I took your advise you gave me the other day with the doubles :D

    And it worked!

  • omg marie you have improved SO much!! amazing axels =D

  • Thanks soo much Hayley :DD

  • Yay for axels! They were great!

  • Thankyou, Rachel :D :D

  • I am so jealous of your axel! Your air position is great! (Not like mine :() And that double salchow is insanely close! Just a little more rotation and voila, it's there! And all your other jumps look very very polished. Just...amazing.

  • Aww thanks soo much Sasha! That means so much to me!

I have no idea how you could be jelous of me though! When your jumps are so amazing and high!!

    :D :D

  • you did great!

  • Thankyou :D

  • awesome! Your axel has improved a lot! You have a much better position in the air now :) Good work!

You'll get your double sal soon. Maybe try them from back crossovers.. the extra speed might help with the extra rotation that you need. I can't do mine from a standstill either :P

  • Thankyou :D

I was os happy with my axel today, I rotated so easily, ulike before it was so hard!

And yeah, I will had a go from backward crossovers next time :D

  • I can't do dbl sals from a standstill either. I can BARELY do an axel from a standstill. Both they're both pretty easy with a lot of speed.

  • Yeah, but my coach said with axel I need to do it from standstill rightnow.. to gian controll..

I'll try them from speed soon though

  • cool :) the important thing is that you are so close on the doubles and you spin very fast

  • Thankyou very much :D
