Yup, this is the typical layman reaction to art. Not that I can't sympathize with it. But dedication to art - whatever that is - is always something admirable. I just wish more - for lack of a better term - hardcore artists - could remember that art is primarily, first and foremost, about entertainment. The message - the concept - should arise naturally from the artist when s/he creates a piece while being sincere and honest and truthful to him or herself.
