There is a tremendous amount of competition out there for one's hard-earned dollar and when folks shell out for a DVD, they won't be buying several at a time. Maybe a few a year. So why not show a bit of the outdoor setup and painting process and the final painting? THEN you can fade in and out with all these little irrelevant scenes and still sell your DVD. I've seen your website and you are a terrific painter but nothing in this video indicates that. Give us a bit more info, ok?

I look forward to this DVD. Jeremy Lipking is one of the best painters we have. Unlike the morons who have slammed this I have the ability to watch and learn, and this looks like a wonderful opportunity.
It's funny how when an artist is actually successful in his work, and presents it in the way he wants to, those who aren't so secure with their own abilities are the first to come out of the woodwork and criticize.
Jeremy you need to teach and share your thoughts as you are painting. Discuss your thought processes and deliberation. We want to listen to the reasons you choose each hue and why each color is used in particular places. Color temperature is important - discuss this. Talk about your brush strokes. Share your knowledge.
Looking forward to getting this video! It's true that Jeremy isn't all that talkative when he paints, but I gained a lot of insight just by observing him paint in "The Portrait Sketch", and watching that with the audio commentary on was really nice too. Maybe I'm more of a visual learner. Also, this is a teaser trailer, people. Teaser. It's supposed to be artsy, create a mood and pique your interest for seeing the real thing. He's not going to get into temperature shifts or brushwork in it.
WHEN CAN I BUY THIS?!? I feel like I've been waiting for 3 years.

@SusanHT your right- this artist should share and stop being a dick about it. he's already 'out there' so he should stop being a greedy asshole.

@Cebukini He has to feed his family, too. Why don't you buy his DVD and support one of today's greatest talents?

@SusanHT No need for constructional criticism regrading this one when you have no even seen it yet...
