If youcant connect do this: go to internet connection settings, wired, custom and enter ip, dns and all other info stuff exactly like you should, and then the rest automatic. now set up a wireless connection and just leave everything like it is.now you should get internet with the wireless (but we want wired)so back to internet connection settings and choose wired, and keep the everything automatic,but your dns manual. the dns should be there so just pass it and the rest automatic. thumbs up

@ItzManB3arPiG something with the PS3 and a modem. The modem doesn't give your PS3 the right info. I find the PS3 really only works with a router.

This is a DNS error. Just do an NSLOOKUP in the command prompt to get the address of the  DNS server used by your ISP........ then configure your network settings manually (wire/wireless doesn't matter) with the address of the DNS server....... Problem FIXED

Well, mines a bit of an odd problem, PSN will log me on, but sometimes will boot me off with the DNS error, and I can sign back in, but thing being I can't download anything off the PSN Store at all. I keep getting these annoying errors. I've reset my router/Modem combo thing, tried different DNS settings, tried a different wire, which was a long shot, but nothings helped. I'm online though, I just get kicked and can't download.... Anyone else have this problem?

@DJparsons89 (NOT A TROLL, just advise)The PS3 can connect directly to a high speed modem. The question is, what kind of modem. If its a cable modem, it will utilize DHCP. What you have to do is power cycle the modem every time you connect or disconnect from your PS3. DSL can be the same, but sometimes relies on PPPoE or PPPTP which requires login credentials (albeit that would be on an old aDSL connection). If it's fiber, it should get it's IP and connection directly from the ISP control node.

@DJparsons89 The Netgear AV 200 is a wired powerline extender. Troubleshooting for this would be power down your router, and unplug both ends of the Netgear AV200. Power on your modem, and plug the main powerline adapter in to your router again via ethernet, and the plug DIRECTLY in to the wall (no power strip). Then plug #2 in to the wall and in to your PS3. If you are still not getting a connection you could have too much noise in your power lines.

@DJparsons89 Or you might just have a bad adapter or even a faulty DHCP setup in your router which you would need to correct. @TheFerik111 can't do anything about it. i had serious issue when i was trying to do the same thing. It didn't work at all! when i connected my router back up it worked. Only solution is to get a router.

this worked like a charm thanks dude and heres a quick tip if your using a wireless connection and the 807 code pops up then set up a wired connection. If that works then copy down the info and set up the wireless info manually. vice versa if your wired and it gives you the code

@jcpadmore Manual Config your internet. simple enough? Also Youtube is not for writing instructions Youtube is for visual ad. So a video tutorial. Maybe try going to the Playstation for an essay style tutorial. Because i didn't have my cables for capturing my PS3 i had to us my camera and my audio was also on the camera so it was longer then normal. And i also haven't come across this error again so i can't make another video.

@bakijev i can't say if your on wireless then your clearly getting disconnect from your wireless connection and u need to move your router closer to the PS3 or PS3 closer to router. if your wired then i would have to say contact PS about your Issue.
