Ahhhh, okay, I should have known this was one of those situations. No explanations as to why all the religions are thiefs, just the normal cut at the tithe concept and that's what you base everything on. You could ask the same question of why we have colleges, schools, or hey, while we are at it, why do we have any buildings, we can do everything in our homes, on our computers and have no interaction with anyone. There's no such a thing like uncurable. Scientology has no way to know what happened 75 million years ago. A lot of people don't believe modern medicine, but it doesn't mean you should reject all of it. You can try and see that you can cure yourself without pills. It's possible. Many people do find peace of mind, hope etc. in believing in a religion. That is good for them and I respect it as long as they don't do any harm or bug anyone (including siblings, spouse and children) with practicing their religion.
But collectively, as a society, religions and cults only bring wars and conflicts and in an effort to evolve we really should bring people to find comfort in something more rational and real (e.g. science, knowledge, philosophy, love...)

I still like Tom Cruise... I don't care what anyone else says. He's behind his religion 100%, and that's fine. Last point (and they are great points). Organized Atheism is the hate of all religion. Hate and bigot are beliefs. Atheists mostly hate Christians, but some hate Jews, Hindus, etc. The majority of atheists today live in the People's Republic of China. There are over a billion atheists in China today, converted by force, terror, and murder just like the Christians converted the Heathens during the Dark Ages. There's no such a thing like uncurable. Scientology has no way to know what happened 75 million years ago. A lot of people don't believe modern medicine, but it doesn't mean you should reject all of it. You can try and see that you can cure yourself without pills. It's possible. It's not about psychiatric thing, it's more about faith and self-control and spiritualism. I mean christianity is good. And trying to look inside yourself is also good.

I had? Dylexia, but I have learned to manage. I can be tested for it and there is still evidence that I had it, but have it well under control. I have a busy mind, I must say and have to pay attention. So, I can see how Tom would/might say that Scientology cured him of Dyslexia. Here's my actual point. Scientology claims that psychologists are lame and psychiatry is bad, but their techniques are all based on old Hypnosis, mind control and psychotherapy methods. They have nothing new or holy.

Look around you
Many people do find peace of mind, hope etc. in believing in a religion. That is good for them and I respect it as long as they don't do any harm or bug anyone (including siblings, spouse and children) with practicing their religion.
But collectively, as a society, religions and cults only bring wars and conflicts and in an effort to evolve we really should bring people to find comfort in something more rational and real (e.g. science, knowledge, philosophy, love...)
