Chris Kyle's story is not adding up, and his motivations appear fishy at best. Jesse has always been vocal about his high regard for the troops, especially the SEALs. He was at the bar because he was giving a speech at the SEAL school to a new class of graduates. The claim that he would make such a crazy comment, against his own SEAL group, while Jesse was there to talk with new SEAL grads, and especially at a wake for the first SEAL killed in Iraq is beyond believable.

Chris Kyle's story is not adding up, and his motivations appear fishy at best. Jesse has always been vocal about his high regard for the troops, especially the SEALs. He was at the bar because he was giving a speech at the SEAL school to a new class of graduates. The claim that he would make such a crazy comment, against his own SEAL group, while Jesse was there to talk with new SEAL grads, and especially at a wake for the first SEAL killed in Iraq is beyond believable.

I think the punch did happen. But it's between two SEALS and that's where it should have been left. That's probably what everyone (The SEALS, the owner, the cops, etc.) at the bar agreed to do...let it go so that the image of the SEALS stayed strong. Internal issues happen. Kyle ended up trying to promote his book w/it by waiting about 5 years (perhaps just after the Statues of Limitation applied) b/f he talked about it. These guys have a chance to make an impact on society and get it out there to their listeners that these conspiracies involving the government are serious and are no laughing matter but instead they portray all of it as a joke and their listeners do the same. Now all these conspiracies could be wrong, but its possible that they could be right and the citizens need to take them more seriously.

Soldiers Of Reason by Alex Abella, I remember it being mentioned in one or two books out of the Blowback trilogy by Chalmers Johnson.
