It's just a bunch of clouds and a short contrail, lit by a setting or rising sun.

The original footage is 8 minutes long. This is just the best part of the 8. Making a high quality copy is a pain. I guess I need to split it into 4 pieces.

It is my opinion that the Sphere is a scout ship, Hunting for the mass of whatever enters the ship from the bottom. If you watch closely there are small high speed particles moving from the right to the left and are in fact being fired upon. Some of them are seen turning from black to white after getting hit with a green blast from the cloud / disk shaped craft.
