In the end you have 30 yrs, where you suffer due to Arishadvargas Kama(Desire), Krodha (Anger) etc and struggle in the whirlpool of samsaara (family & basically everything that comes under "me& mine" group). So, please do not waste your time and spend it in hari bhajana which leads to Moksha.

Prahlada : Dear friends, do not waste your time in these silly games. It is very difficult to attain a human birth. Man's life is limited to 100 years. Hey! I dont speak Telugu but I get some Tamil, and I thought it was cute that they didn't know who Sri Visnu Bhagavan was :D I feel bad for the Asuras who didn't know of him, but they were blessed by Sriman Prahlada-Maharaja's prescence among them. Also, Old Telugu is cool because it's got quite a bit of Sanskrit. I really like how it sounds compared to modern Telugu.

That kid (named Prahlada) is son of a Rakshasa king. Rakshasa king is bad and want rule whole universe. Vishnu (God) sends a messenger as Rakshas Kings Son. Those kids are sons of rakshasa kingdom. Prahalada(kid) trying to teach them the God (Vishnu). Rakshasa means demon. If any one wants to give cast to kid by birth, he is also Rakshasa. If any one wants to give by nature, he is a devote.

This movie is based on the story of a boy named 'Prahlad'. Essentially the story revolves around this boy's complete trust and belief in the concept of God, whatever form, shape a human conceives God to be. He believes that it is God who gave life to all beings and therefore it is God's 'responsibility' also to save us.

So, as humans we need only to think of God and do 'smarna' which is recite God's name (whichever name/form) one chooses, but the essential thing is believe. That is the philosophy behind the story. How that philosophy is depicted is what the story is about.

This boy's father is a demon-king (Hiranyakashyap), who doesn't believe in 'Hari' or God. He thinks of himself as the highest power and commands everyone in his kingdom to praise him only and make him their God.

He obtains this arrogance through a boon he obtained from a higher power several years earlier through penance. The boon is that he cannot be killed by any means, neither in the day nor night, nor by any weapon, neither indoors nor outdoors, by any human nor animal, so that he feels he can live forever.

He has a son who from the time he learns to speak says that there is only Hari who is God, and that we humans should trust him. His father sends him to a school where the teachers have been forced to teach their children that Hirankashyap is God in the hope that the teachers would brainwash his son also to believe the same thing.

Instead this boy flips everything by convincing the students and the teachers into the concept of Hari. After several attempts, the father then tries to get his son killed in numerous ways. Each time there is divine intervention and the boy is saved and continues to recite Hari's name in different ways.

@AngelofAllah2007 no this is not about caste. this is an ancient tale in hindu religion/culture about a boy whose father didnt believe in God, but the boy convinced all the evil doers to give up evil and revert to the right way of life. the child's name was Prahlad, he was born to a Demon King who didnt believe in God.

Hiranyakashipu was a great scientist, became too great after his penance that nothing can overcome him. But he hates Vishnu (God in the form of the sustainer of mankind) since his brother was killed by Him. So he did everything opposing Vishnu, etc torture men, conquering the astral world (heaven & hell). When he knew his son....

So he knew his son is truly devoted & that Vishnu would respond to him. This is when he started all his cruel, demonistic experiments on his son just to see Vishnu's responses. Things got to a point where Vishnu was flaming in anger & no one could stop him in annihilating the universe......

@AngelofAllah2007 ...he slew Hiranyakashipu (the fact told to me was that Hiranyakashipu tried to touch the pole star where the world revolves, it shook the universe so bad that everything was gonna be destroyed). Then Prahlad sincerely prayed to Vishnu for forgiveness & slowly Vishnu was calmed. It's actually a story about how far a human mind could go to defy God till God had to annihilate His creation & how far a human heart could go till God forgives even the greatest sin of His creation.
